    Good afternoon everyoneI hope everyone is doing well today!Today is the 16th of november and if you guys remember. Two weeks ago I promised Predation 1.0 would be ready.Here we stand. Two weeks later. Having poured our heart and soul into this project.But we are happy to announce that we believe it's time to give predation to yall.There are some bugs that are not yet fixed and due to an oversight on our end the CG gallery isn’t updated yet.Vero has also told me that controller support isn’t 100% finished yet either.We want you to know that updates will be coming before the public release containing bug fixes and anything else we need change to make 1.0 as good as it will beSo how will this workWell if your a patron and you support us with $5 or more you should be able to see a set of download instructions on patreonIf your not a Patron, don't worry. Predation will never be locked behind a paywall.     07/09/20: Devlog of unknown precedence

    Hallo everyone!Sephra here, doing this particular dev log while Sprrigs is recovering from too much being cool; luckily for you all I'm never that cool so I can fill in where appropriate ^^So lately we've tried a new thing where we start to swap the game's file between us every couple of weeks, and for the last couple weeks I've had the main coding privelage so I can put my obsessive perfectionism on everything; as you can imagine its been a lot of work that most aren't really even going to notice but I'm doing it anyway coz... well, you'll have to ask someone with more shrink training than me I guess!Sprrigs, in line with him being cool, has coded up a much easier to work with system for the characters conversing with each other; my old one used to rely on Game Maker 2's Alarm systems, which you can only have 12 or so of in any one object, so if text boxes lasted more than 12 back-and-forths I'd have to make a new object and... I'm sure anyone who knows coding is laughing at me just reading that so you can imagine how much happier I am to have someone with a clue on what they're doing taking over xD For the most part it's been me dotting the T's and crossing the I's and all of that, trying to get the game to the point where its fully playable for the first level, and a lot of that is Boss type stuff; so aside from coding I've been animating the necessary stuff and making assets, like this:And this (WIP):Which has been rather a lot of fun!So yes, that's been the main thrust (heh) of the progress these last couple weeks; been a lot of fun delving into the code again and making assets for it as and when I realise they're needed! This method is definitely going to be a boon for me; Sprrigs too hopefully, but also I'm his boss so I can say AHAHAHAH and mistreat him because that's what bosses do! Nah he's cool with it, don't worry xDNother update soon you wonderful people ^^-S

    Predation devlog 8/12/20

    Hello everyone. I hope your doing well tonightToday's devlog is going to be rather short. As most of the time was spent brainstorming the changes that came to predation discord and patreon.There are still one or two things that I can talk about tho.Work on the boss has halted slightly as I had to go back into the text system and rewrite some lines of code that were causing problems. Now tho. It should be easy for us to have amber speak whenever we need her to.On the animation side of things Sephra has been hard at work on the lizard animation. You can find some of the gifs for that in the discord!We are speeding as fast as we can to the finish line. So lets lay out what needs to be done to reach said finish line.In terms of things left for us to do. We must Finish creating the animation for Chef Finish drawing the endgame CG’s for enemies Code the AI to be a little bit smarter Finish rewriting the messed up text boxes Finish coding the boss battle And add a endingIt might sound like a lot, and it is.     A much needed talk

    Good evening everybodyI hope your day is going well, and I hope you are staying safe.I wanted to have a small talk with everyone. To let you know what's going on.So let's start with step one. Patreon.We redesigned the tier system again.Why? What did we change?I’ll tackle this point by point.Our first change was the removal of the animation reward from the $50 tier. ‘Why?’ We did this so sephra and I will have more time to focus on the game. Having to create 5 small animations a month was very time consuming, and it took progress away from predation itself.‘What does this mean for me?’If you were a $50 patron before this change. You will still receive the animation. However past this point we can not offer anything of large value that would not encumber the games development. We are sorry about this. The tier will remain open for anyone who still wants to support us at this level.This change affected all tiers of the patreon.One large change was the inclusion of roles to the predation discord.Based on your tier you will receive a role with a special color in the predation discord. This applies for all tiers.You will get the citizen tag for $1.The Infected tag for $5The QRD Officer for $10The Janus goonie for $20And the Amberphile for $50The last change that came to will be a draw system.We really enjoyed the idea of bringing the world of predation to light with your characters, however as this time we can't offer their animations as a reward for everyone. Instead we have decided to make a draw systemAnyone pledged $10 and up will automatically be entered into the draw.Once a month. Me and Sephra will select a random person from the pool, and they will receive one small animation. We desperately want to keep the world of predation feeling alive. This was the best way to include you guys, without overworking ourselves.We have more information on our discord.     Predation devlog 7/1

    Hello everyone. I hope you are doing well today.Sephra took over the devlog last week but today I have returned to write them for you. Our release dates got a little messed up, so this should be coming out on the first, and then we will return to our two mondays a month system. So what's been happening in between the last devlog and now?Well Sephra has been busy working and creating some art and animations. They take a while to complete but they do seem to be worth it. Along with that he is also working on a few more of the end game CG’sMeanwhile on the level design and coding front. I tweaked with the first tutorial area, making it so you can walk around, instead of a cutscene.Alongside that I have been working on the AI for the game. They won't be Einstein smart, but soon they should at least know to turn around when you're standing behind them.On another note.
