Patrick - Excelsior

Yeah, hard to believe with all the things the Jumpers have taken in other episodes. A cannonball is enough to take one down. Especially hard to believe they were accurate enough to hit a rapidly moving target with the setup they had. but (hit the button) Tv show gotta ... Hmm, that murder sees something in Rodney most others don't. The brave and loyal man. That ending was a bit dark.

Some SG-1 alumni in this episode. The leader of the city previously played the religious town leader in SG-1 the season 3 episode Demons who put Teal'c on trial for witchcraft & the leader of the criminals previously played the actor that played Dr. Lavant, the character based on Daniel in Wormhole Extreme!

Also, how the heck are they even able to manually hit it? That thing is FAST. It should take seconds for it to zip out of range. No way they could hit it without advanced targeting system.

> > > !!!FOR SHANNAN!!! < < < 1. Yeeeeahh... No uniform for Ronon ...Which I think actually kinda works ..Makes him stand out a bit more ...He tied up his hair ...But then a scene later it's fine again ....Even guys can't make up their minds about hair sometimes I guess 2. I kinda love how Ronon just digs into these people's food... McKay tells him off for it... Ronon asks if he wants some and McKay takes 2 seconds before asking "How good is it?" ...That was funny 3. I meeeaaaan... The actors faces DO. move a bit in the intro ...I think it kinda adds something extra to the intro that midway through their shots showing they turn into png shots ....IF. I was able to do that with edits I COMPLETELY would. (not for lack of trying... it didn't work though) 4. I feel like it's Sheppards fault that the Jumper got shot down by the prisoners on the island ....We KNOW. at this point in the episode the island is inhabited by criminals ....If this were me.. I'd have flown the Jumper back to the gate WHILE. cloaked... And the fact Sheppard didn't IMMEDIATELY use his piloting skills to dodge any incoming fire after the first surprise hit is odd too ....Buuuuuttt then we wouldn't have had an episode I guess ...And yeah... A Jumper should NOT. be taken out so easily 5. You asked if a Jumper can't go INTO the gate while cloaked ....I'm gonna assume that it's not possible due to either 2 reasons ...One would be an in-verse scifi kinda reason in that the cloaking device emits some sort of bubble around it to render the Jumper invisible and if this bubble touches an open gate all kindsa weird shit would happen ...Or ...Two ...It's due to plot convenience so that people on the other side of the gate could see the Jumper come through and THEN cloak so they'd know something is happening and the plot can move forward ....I'm choosing option one... But sadly it's probably just option two ....Luckily they don't make it NEARLY. as bad as the Legends who would ALWAYS. cloak the Waverider while ALREADY. above where they needed to be 6. So we find out that even those who have committed only the smallest of crimes are sent to the prison island as food for The Wraith .....Imagine accidentally missing the bin while you throw away a Pepsi can and you get sentenced to the island for it ...Jeesh 7. Although this episode is pretty meh ....It does have a scene in it that was kinda badass ...Weir telling the politician dude that their alliance has been rescinded and him getting visibly upset about it only for Weir to go "What?? You plan to arrest us too?? ...Because you do not want to do that" leading to Major Lorne and his team raising their guns .....Noice! 8. True... One thing kinda fucked up about the ending of this episode is that this world probably just got culled by The Wraith due to the actions of their corrupt government ....I'm SURE. there's a BUNCH. of innocent people there who just got completely screwed over ....So question ...Even though it's not entirely OUR. fault ...Are we not partially to blame for the predicament that these people just found themselves in? IF. Sheppard had been a bit more careful going back to the gate we'd have been gone and the criminals (some of which proooooobbbably deserved their punishment) would have been the ones to get culled .....Morally speaking ...Are we the good guys?? We seem to be causing more harm than good ever since we've arrived in the Pegasus galaxy
