I think he was upset that the TS-19 samples were destroyed because it almost seemed like they were from a living subject that was infected. He said something like the rest (walkers) were just necrotic (dead/decaying) tissue. It's been so long since I've watched the first seasons so i just remember big events lol

The reason the RV was able to drive after leaving the bit guy was that Shane and B-Dog had returned from gas station. They must have found a hose to use to repair the RV.
