Not completely related to the show, but railguns, which we see them using here, are a real thing now, but they take so much power that only a very few of the latest ships could even power the type of ones they are testing. They were supposed to start adding them to ships, but apparently it hasn't gone so well and they seem to have given up on them for now. Naquada generators likely would solve many of the problems they have in real life. Laser canons also are a thing, but they are anti-drone weapons rather than being useful against anything too large.

The Stargate people like to do those two or three part episodes to bridge between seasons. It's great for binge watching, but can you imagine this on old school television, where you had to wait for month for the next season to start? If you had recorded the previous season, you had to watch it all over again just before you could watch the first episode of the next season, just to get in the mood because that little "previously on bla bla bla" wouldn't be enough. I'm so glad those times are long gone and I only have to wait for 2 weeks for your next reaction video to drop.

I like Zelenka and McKay's friendship ...They basically diss eachother every opportunity they get but then when McKay was about to head off to the satellite they show that it's all just them talking shit and that they do have a lot of respect for eachother ...That's a true friendship right there.. Being able to be "rude" but both sides KNOWING. they don't really mean it without having to even acknowledge the fact they don't mean it 3. See here's the problem with this episode (1x19) ...Zelenka says that destroying Atlantis won't stop The Wraith from finding a means to get to Earth cause they could search the wreckage ........Cool... So why don't we just destroy any and all information about the location of Earth AND. destroy the control crystal that's hooked up to our Stargate?? ...Y'know... The control crystal.... The one we KNOW. for a fact (from the episode with the mist beings) is the ONLY. one in the Pegasus galaxy and in existence capable of giving a gate the needed function of dialing Earth?? ....Good luck to The Wraith at finding Earth when Atlantis is gone, the information is gone, the control crystal is gone and everyone FROM. Earth is dead cause of ...I dunno... The city exploding!?!? 4. Sure Halling... Let's have faith that The Ancients ...A race of ascended beings who supposedly don't give a damn about us ...Would step in and stop The Wraith from taking Atlantis .....You're a fool for believing in them 5. Ok... Another problem with 1x19 I guess ....Zelenka's plan is to upload a virus into the Atlantis computer which will wipe the Ancient Database ...While for argument sake it would work in this scenario ....It also sounds VERY. Independence Day-ish and if done in a REAL-WORLD case it would most decidedly NOT. work ...Our little computer viruses wouldn't do a daaaaamn thing against alien computers ...There's ZERO. doubt that an alien computer's programming wouldn't be compatible with our programming ....Uploading a virus to an alien computer if you could even establish some sort of link in the first place is kind of a joke if you think about it ....Daniel Jackson pointed this out in Season 1 of SG-1 I think as a joke 6. So a week or so before you watched this I decided to take a good look at the monitor when we see the Wraith life sign show up ...And I counted all the dots on the screen (minus the Wraith) ....It's been said that there's about 200 people on Atlantis ....Welp... Not according to the screen there's not ...There are 138 white dots on that screen ...Meanwhile McKay, Peter Grodin and Pilot Dude who looks kinda like Joseph Morgan a bit are somewhere in space ...That means there's 141 people on Atlantis when everyone's at home .....That's almost 60 shy of 200 ...added later... Hold up.. More issues with this monitor coming up 7. Keep in mind that the monitor showing the lifesigns on Atlantis isn't all that detailed ...You said you didn't understand why nobody had seen the Wraith spy ...Even though there were dots around him on the monitor it doesn't mean those dots were on the same level as the Wraith spy ....The city is GHUGE ...Dude could've been at the top of whatever building he was in and anyone else could've been at the bottom or even in the building next to him ....Plus he'd been here for weeks ...Dude was probably THE. SHIT. at playing hide and seek when he was in Wraith school 8. Aaaaaaand another problem with 1x19 ...Jeebus they're just stacking up ....This one's more of a VFX thing too I guess.... Sheppard and his team are nearing the Wraith's position and Sheppard asks if the Wraith has moved ...Zelenka says he's still in the same position and that he hasn't moved ......Looking at the monitor... There's ABSOLUTELY. ZERO. chance of anyone being able to give out that kind of information ....The detail on the monitor is so incredibly lacking in information ....And it's not like "Yeah but these characters probably know what they're looking at" ....No... Nope... No... Absolutely not.. NO. ...Zelenka and Weir are literally looking at a screen that has a VERY. low resolution polygon version of Atlantis on it ...You could NEVER. be able to see what Zelenka claims to be seeing in his dialogue ...There's no levels ...No detail... Nothing ...It's literally impossible to tell anyone from anything 9. Y'know what's kinda funny.... Teyla is staring at this Wraith spy (who'se name I won't say cause it probs gives you bad memories.. But it's the same actor who played the Wraith Sheppard named Steve) .....And Wraith spy is looking back saying "What are you doing human?" .....FIRST. thing that came to my mind was "Staring contest! You and me.. GO!" 10. McKay: "McKay to Atlantis we have lost the satellite" .....Me: "Ok well where did you last see it??" ...That made me laugh more than it should have ...Am I high?? That wasn't even funny 11. Froots I doubt SG-1 is gonna rock up any time soon ....I'm suspecting they got their hands full with the Goa'u.... The Lego M....... Anu.... thinks for a minute .......I'm sure SG-1 will be doing SOMETHING. these final 2 seasons 12. Sheppard killing the Wraith spy was kinda dumb ...They could've held him captive for more information 13. I don't think it's an issue with audio mixing ....I think Colonel Everett or rather the actor speaks in a really ODD. manner ...I suppose you're right though that COMBINED. with Atlantis's alarm going off in the background it made it difficult for you to understand him 14. Y'know I find it kind of big balled for the SGC to assume that the "Daedalus" can handle a couple of Wraith hive ships ....Have we really SEEN. the Prometheus in action against any Goa'uld ships before??? (Hammond making a suicide run towards Anubis's ship doesn't really count since he didn't even fire at Anubis's ship) What makes the SGC think that our ships could go up against The Wraith.... A race that defeated The Ancients ....As in... They're OBVIOUSLY. way more powerful than the Goa'uld ....But hey... Seems we're gonna have a new ship joining the fight ...Let's go! 15. Remember that Atlantis sent back a bunch of information about the city along with mission logs and videos intended for family members during the Letters From Pegasus episode ...It's safe to assume THAT. is how and why these marines know the "gateships" are named Puddle Jumpers now .....Teeeeecchnically they should've known this in Moebius aswell buuutttt... Mind your step.. Plothole 16. I dunno Froots.... Even though Colonel Everett is undoubtedly an absolute ass... I think he's acting like more of a soldier than any other person we've seen thus far ...He's acting more along the lines of Colonel Sumner from the pilot ...Experienced and taking no-nonsense ...And Major Sheppard is WELL. KNOWN. for being tough to handle (same goes for O'neill) .....While I share your sentiment in that I don't like Everett either... I don't think ANYONE. does ....But I do think he's a more realistic version of how a real world soldier of his stature would act like 17. Aaaaaaaand just in case you didn't notice ....Another Stargate mod object makes it's appearance ....The Naquadah Mark 2 Generator ....I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't notice it ....We barely even used those things on ARK ....The other guys that were on the server DID. though... They had one next to their DHD for a while before they upgraded to the ZPM hub 18. I'm sorry... Why did Everett have a bunch of marines behind him when he met up with Teyla?? It's not like he asked them to follow HER. around ....When he left they all followed HIM. .....Does this dude just have an entourage??? Like.... Who does he think he is?? Billy?? 19. Why would O'neill send Everett? ...Like I said... Not everyone is like O'neill and Sheppard ....Most of the soldiers are a lot more serious ...Hell even some of the military people on Atlantis have shown to be more serious ....Bates for instance (the guy who kept accusing Teyla for being a spy for The Wraith) ....Even Ford isn't nearly as much of a goof as Sheppard most of the time ....O'neill probably didn't have much to pick from ...Plus it probably wasn't ENTIRELY. his choice either .....However you've got to wonder though ....WHAT. IF. ...O'neill had sent Carter instead ...And she had acted just as serious as Everett (since this was a pretty serious situation) ...Would you still think the same? I think it's good that you are so against Everett though ...It means that in a short amount of time you've warmed up to the Atlantis characters and their way of doing things 20. Yeeeeeaaaah turning off the lights like that and having all those guns firing defending Atlantis ....It looks a lot like fireworks ....I figured you'd like that 21. Yeah it think the visual effects on Atlantis getting attacked here probably also cost a bit more than the Battle Of Antarctica ....I'm certain the costs are only gonna get higher ...And it's not just cause the effects got more expensive 22. Kinda sad that you paused in the middle of McKay telling Everett off for wanting to know shit when his plan just took out half the cities power ...Cause when you unpaused you couldn't hear the rest of McKay's rant ....It was a good moment and I guess I'll have to see if I can fix it in the edit ...added before posting... Nope.. I just cut it and made it look shortened 23. Nice transition shots between scenes having the camera fly from one building to the next and the next between every scene there ...Slight issue... Not all transitions start with the building the previous shot went to and also during the actual scenes ..The interior doesn't really match the building the camera flew to ....Nitpicking I guess 24. Since you didn't know who this was... Siege Part 2 was dedicated to Bob Scarabelli ...He was apparently a visual effects executive producer who worked on the effects for Rising a.k.a. the pilot episode of Atlantis ...Apparently he died of a heart attack ...He won an award for his work on Rising ...He was never able to accept the award 25. HA! You: "That's how you end your episode?? ..That's rude" ....Welp.. You wanted a week break... This is what you get ...Congratulations Froots ...You screwed yourself ...And trust me.. This won't be last time your decision is gonna screw you over ....I repeat note #1 ....Get ...Absolutely ...Wrecked.
