Same as last episode, this one had me teary eyed again. This time right at the start too. Bitsie Tulloch is one hell of an actress and she's truly bringing her A-game currently. Tyler Hoechlin is right up there with her as well. Both of them just give such phenomenal performances. It's times like these where I am reminded why Bitsie and Tyler are my favorite Lois and Clark respectively. Visualizing Clark's fear and feeling of helplessness via the dream where the world is quite literally crumbling around him while he's desperately trying to save Lois, at first barely succeeding and after Lois missed her appointment, him failing to do so. Man. Such great storytelling. In general this season is great at diving into Lois and Clark's psyche and how they react to this kind of problem. Lois becoming more hard-headed and determined to do her job and help others, because it gives her back a feeling of control over her life, while Clark is going in the opposite extreme, starting to consider not helping others to be there for Lois, because his inability to save her from this is just tearing him apart. I also appreciate that despite the grim and bleak subject matter of this story, that the show doesn't completely forego it's charm and humour.
