On a rewatch I really started to notice how Chillblaine is actually putting events into motion so that he would be the one getting the vibration engine for Red Death. He was the one who encited the mutiny and he also was ready to make a machine that enabled him specifically to steal the engine on the four-man mission. I have to agree that Khione is just very fun to watch. She is very blunt about alot of topics which makes her interactions with other team Flash members quite entertaining. The Rogues were alot of fun to watch this episode. I've stated before that I get a kick out of Goldface being present in a story and it's no different here. Hartley is once again a sarcastic smartass and I love him for it. Jaco (the Hotness) is honestly just so wholesome as a character, I couldn't bring myself to dislike him, if I tried. Chillblaine betraying team Flash is a twist I did not see coming the first time around and I quite enjoyed it. It makes sense that in his current state he's prioritizing getting Frost back over staying faithful to team Flash, especially after last episode's events. The scene where Goldface finds out Barry's secret identity makes me laugh every time. Jaco having found out already because Barry gets the exact same Jitters order whether he's Barry or Flash, Goldface immediately going "oh yeah, no, I see it" and both Chillblaine and Hartley looking smugly amused at the whole situation while Barry is completely stumped has me chuckling every time. Red Death's entrance at the end of the episode I think was quite well done. There are three things that bog this episode down for me: 1. The Chester/Allegra stuff being just useless filler even by their standards, not to mention the show's as a whole. 2. The Red Death mask is way too rounded. It should be more sharp and angular. I have the McFarlane toys Red Death action figure standing in my room and the mask just looks so much better on that figure. 3. "I am vengeance." I just could not take her seriously when she said that. Absolutely no intimidation factor whatsoever. Should've kept the mask and voice modulator on. Other than that I quite enjoyed the episode on this rewatch. Definitly a step back up from last week imo, tho these last few episodes are really lacking in momentum. This is a 13 episode season, not to mention the last season, they don't get the opportunity for a slow start. Really weird choice.

Sorry about my big rant last episode, i was just having all these thoughts and im never ever this negative about a tv show, you know how much im a defender but i just couldnt stand it anymore. Also i did NOT spoil anything about the finale, i didnt even watch it yet but i do know multiple things that happened in the final few episodes. Dont worry though, i know how much you hate spoilers so i always write everything with that in mind. Honestly about Eric not taking constructive criticism about Allegra and chester, i think hes just being petty and doing it because he can. He has good ideas but they are always ruined by his execution. Thats why he never should have been showrunner and only stayed as a writer. I actually wish the original showrunner wasnt a perv so he could still be the showrunner. Imagine how much better the show would be as a whole. All that talent is worthless now. I do have a few things i really want to talk about with you on the last few episodes which i think you will be reacting to all at once. Since the flash is very special to you do you think we could have a comment reading video to discuss the end of the show and how we all feel?

So, you probably already know but Red Death is supposed to be a corrupted version of Batman. I guess they went with Batwoman because maybe they can't use Batman? Plus, a reason for Javicia to show up again, which would be cool if she wasn't so laughable at delivering the vengeance line. Yeah, I had the same reaction as you when I watched it live.

David Brown

Actually 'I am vengeance' wasn't really Robert Pattinson's. It's originally a Kevin Conroy line. 'I am vengeance. I am the night. I am BATMAN!'

Brandon Wiesner

Yes and I'm sure she knows that too but it was Pattinson's Batman that shortened it to just "I am vengeance."

1. Yeah naaahh... IF you had lost your best friend.. You better not go out to party ...I'd expect you to be sad ...I'd frikkin haunt your ass if you WEREN'T sad 2. Oh ok it's a good thing I decided not to skip this long rant ...You would've probably forgotten to ask me to add a "Level up" counter to the edits ...That's gonna drive me nuts 3. Remember my previous note about the "Level up" counter? ...Yeah that's right bish.. We're doing a flashback!!! WOOOSSSH!!! (black and white slightly slanted shot of you reading note 2.) WOOOOSH!!! ...So I just looked at the transcripts for Armageddon Parts 1 through 5 ...There's a total of 8 times throughout those 5 parts where they mentioned "Leveling up" or some variation of that term ...Most surprising... 5 of them were in Part 1! ...I didn't even look at other episodes beyond the 5 parter but I'm SURE. there's more mention of the phrase 4. Yeeeeaahh... Barry: "I'm going to have to get them to trust me" ....I saw that coming ...Figured he'd show up as The Flash ...But he just rolled up as regular old Barry and they put 2 and 2 together themselves .....His "secret" identity is an absolute joke on this show ....I would NOT. be surprised if they pulled a Supergirl in the finale episode and have him just out himself to the entire world ...Might as well by this point 5. Yeah "I am vengeance" is an actual comic book thing although my search didn't give any accurate results other than telling me it was also used in the animated series.... But I'mma laugh at the fact they just quoted Edward Cullen! That was cringey 6. And yeah... Grey streak in the hair ...I guess to indicate she's older ...Such a dumb trope ...NO woman would do such a thing ...Unless the future has banned hair dye ....I mean... This IS. the Arrowverse ...Not the first time that happened

David Brown

Caitlin's mum has been letting the natural grey her hair is turning show. Shan didn't make any comment about that the last time she was on.

David Brown

The new rogue, Michelle Amar/Murmur, is a gender flipped version of a villain from Arrow Seasons 3 and 4, Michael Amar/Murmur. He had his mouth sewn shut. He briefly teamed up with Damien Darhk while they both in prison together. This is either another Crisis change or The Flash writers forgot Arrow already used the character. The actress is actually deaf. You saw the original actor from Arrow last week as Candice's dad on Superman and Lois. You were happy they didn't recruit Amunet. I wonder if they couldn't get Katee Sackhoff because she's busy with something else. Hmm, I wonder what that could be. Just wondering, have you seen the trailer for The Flash movie? Any thoughts you care to share?

David Brown

Based on the inflections she used, she was...'trying'...to deliver it like Kevin Conroy. Also, Pattinson used the contraction ' I'm ' rather than ' I am '.

I swear I left this comment on the first episode of the season, but Patreon appears to have eaten it somehow. I haven't seen anyone else mention this, but Khione is named after the Greek goddess of snow, which makes sense.

It's funny, but I remember the crew of the show talking about that actress and they were gleefully boasting about how perfectly she supposedly nailed that line.
