The device no longer picks up on a non-existent SIM card and, more important than that...

You can now map your built-in gamepad to the touchscreen by pressing the F-button on the bottom of your device!

How to install: Unpack the attached files using 7zip and follow the included instructions found inside README.txt.

Things to note when updating from a previous build: If you previously had Google Apps installed, please make sure you re-install them after the update to avoid crashes!

For those needing the Google Play Store: Reboot into TWRP and install the latest OpenGapps ARM64 8.1 Pico bundle! (I suggest you finish the first-time setup with WiFi disabled... things move so much faster if you do!)

For those needing root: Magisk is included out of box and only needs to be activated on first boot. A WiFi connection is required for the initial Magisk activation.

Changelog

  • The SIM-card issue has been resolved
  • A touchscreen mapping feature has been added

Hi, can we flash the twrp image from recovery for first install ?

blackseraph

No, because the first install is what actually installs the proper TWRP recovery.

Working great! No problems with Gapps or the button mapper. Thanks!

Works great as the first beta, but I have a noob question... how can I access now home screen if the F button is for button mapper? I didn't use to use Android so all key combinations and buttons are part of the learning curve... I appreciate any help.

Hello. New Patreon here looking to install this on my 552. I have a couple of questions first:

Anonymous

-Will I lose everything that is currently installed on my stock 7.1.2 Android storage? -I would really love to be able to keep my installed Redream and Yaba Sanshiro, as well as ePSX and Drastic that I paid for. Or is there a way to side load restore them using my PC after I have flashed my device with this firmware?

blackseraph

Just install OpenGapps after the install and reinstall your apps from the Play Store.

-And finally, which one of the above files should I download for a first time install? The 5 of them or only the Maskrom ones? I have downloaded all of them but i can only unpack the Magisk ones using Winrar

Anonymous

Thanks for your help in advance :)

blackseraph

For a first time install you need the MaskROM files. Download all parts into the same folder then unpack the lowest numbered part with 7zip.

But i still need to download all of the attached files from this post yes?

blackseraph

For a first time install just download all the files containing MaskROM in their names. For follow-up updates you can just download the TWRP version and install them straight from your device.

There's a drivers folder included with the bundle for windows users. You most likely need to install these first.

Ah yes, sorry for deleting the question, I didn't see that you had answered. In fact, I found the folder and installed the drivers, then everything went fine, thanks!
