Time for the first set of fixes & enhancements.

We now have virtual navigation buttons, working ExFAT MicroSD card support and PPSSPP no longer freezes when entering the settings menu!

If you downloaded this build before Friday, 11. February 2022, 15:15 CEST, please re-download the files and re-flash your device (this should fix the Play Store login issue some people had).

How to install: Unpack the attached files using 7zip and follow the included instructions found inside README.txt.

Things to note when updating from a previous build: If you previously had Google Apps installed, please make sure you re-install them after the update to avoid crashes!

For those needing the Google Play Store: Reboot into TWRP and install the latest OpenGapps ARM64 8.1 Pico bundle! (I suggest you finish the first-time setup with WiFi disabled... things move so much faster if you do!)

For those needing root: Magisk is included out of box and only needs to be activated on first boot. A WiFi connection is required for the initial Magisk activation.

Changelog

  • Fixed the PPSSPP settings freeze
  • Added ExFAT MicroSD card support
  • Added a virtual back button (L1+R1+Y)
  • Added a virtual home button (L1+R1+X)
  • Added a virtual app switcher button (L1+R1+A)

Fixable known issues

  • For some odd reason Android picks up a modem in this device?
Kind of useless without a SIM-card slot to go with it...
  • Some people say ExFAT doesn't work, it does though, your card's partition table is most likely corrupted and needs resetting

Unfixable known issues

  • Vulkan doesn't work in AetherSX2 (it requires Vulkan 1.1 but we only have 1.0)

'Google Play Services has stopped' everytime it shows 'Checking Info' on the Play store when trying to log in. I've tried reinstalling gapps and finishing the initial setup but it happens each time

Which Gapps package did you install and did you check the permissions on the play store service and play store app yet?

The Play Store issue has been fixed (it was a mistake on my end, sorry). Please re-download the updated files from this post and re-flash your device.

just as an info... i've followed the readme but it indicates that the RG552 should "vibrate" to release the buttons... in my case it never vibrates, i released the buttons once the fan start spin and the process starts without problems... i will let ou know any news (i'm right now updating)

The vibration is gone in this CFW? I noticed that the vibration only works on twrp but not on android

I actually haven't noticed until now! Thanks for reporting on it. I'll look into it right away.

So, I used the install.bat and it is in recovery mode, so what’s next? The readme ends there.
