Someone that got Android 8.1 does not need to use spflash, right? I Just need to flash into twrp, isn't?

blackseraph

Exactly. For you the suggested way would be to... 1. Download and unpack the TWRP bundle. 2. Reboot into TWRP. 3. Wipe -> Factory reset. 4. Flash the TWRP bundle ZIP (and the OpenGapps package / Magisk if required).

Does this update use a lot of space? I Just installed and It keeps using +90% of internal storage even after i formatted It.

blackseraph

No, it shouldn't and doesn't on my end. Keep in mind that a TWRP wipe leaves your old data intact.

Thanks for the upload! I have started the whole process from the beginning - with SP Flash and the second part with the Open G Apps. This time the device is stuck in the booting process (similarly to Fred below), in a constant loop on the Lineage logo (one dot sliding from right to left). In order to fix this I have redone the complete process, this time not reading back the nvram and nvdata files from the device, assuming using the ones provided in the bundle would solve the issue. Same thing, I am stuck in the Lineage looping animation. Recovery mode seems to work though. Any clues on how to fix this ? Thanks

All clear ! I assume I somehow managed to corrupt my nvram and/or nvdata, and I reckon SP Flash overwrites the .bin and .img files on the disk so restoring from those would not help. So I started back from the contents of the original archive you provided and I can now boot and finish the setup within Lineage. Will now mess around with Android and report back if any issues. Thanks for your dedication and support !

I accidentally used the wrong start/end address for my nvram.bin file during the process of flashing from 7 to 8.1. Should I flash back to stock or can I use the nvram.bin included with your 7z?

Also my XD+ is stuck in Portrait mode now after flashing Lineage 16?

Google Play is not synchronizing so i have to buy my games again. What is happening?

blackseraph

Logged in via the wrong account maybe? I can see and use my purchased content.

it's possible to keep all my data and just flash the new update via TWRP? i don't want to lose my setup for the third times lol ps: i'm currently on beta 10

blackseraph

You can try but I highly suggest not to. There's just no way for me to deal with all the potential issues people might be facing due to "dirty upgrades".

Sorry to necro but I installed this yesterday and am having trouble with location service, specifically with spoofing. The method I use for spoofing works best on pre-10 versions of Android, which is why I haven't updated. Did you experience or do you know of anyone having issues with location service? It's on but any app that uses location service says that the gps can't be located.

blackseraph

Well... The device doesn't have GPS so you're heavily relying on something this device doesn't have/ wasn't made for.
