I finally had a day off from work today and decided to do a good deed and work through some of the user-reported issues & feature requests.

As such, let me present you the latest CleanROM 2.0.5.0 build and its newly added features / changes:

  • Fresh installations of CleanROM now try to heuristically determine the right headphone jack polarity setting (this will only affect users coming from stock firmwares)
  • A2DP keep-alive is now disabled by default (as it can cause a low-volume hiss on some speakers)
  • The gamepad shoulder buttons can now be swapped in the CleanROM settings (L-buttons become R-buttons and vice-versa, this one's for you Giuseppe Paoulos)
  • The navigation buttons can now be locked behind double-tap gestures to prevent accidental back & home button presses (this should please Dolphin emulator users like ScottyHoliday)

May want to edit the post to clarify swapping L1/L2 and R1/R2 since it kinda sounds like the options swaps L and R in your post. thanks so much again, I just tested and it's working perfectly!

Just updated - how do i get the old grey screensaver back - i miss it :(

Just got a brand new XD Plus, and literally installed this within 10 minutes. Very smooth process, and the ROM itself is very clean, smooth, quick and lovely. Thank you very much.

Hello im new patreon here and just wanna say thankyou for the clean rom but also wanna ask about: which one should i choose for the upgrade firmware the TWRP or Spflash or i have to instal both.

blackseraph

It's up to you. TWRP packages are most useful for in-place updates directly on the XD+, while SPFlash updates are best suited for initial installation where no existing TWRP installation exists.

Sorry its me again when im am extracting the spflash file it says the many files are the same and give the opcions to rename the file, do i just replace of change the name ? and where is the scatter file sorry man im new at this looking some tutorials.

blackseraph

What do you mean with "it says many files are the same"? The scatter file is called CleanROM.txt.

Hey Blackie i recal that awhile ago you talked with someone about hacking the APK of PS4 remote play app to work with GPD controls, could you make that and post it? I can't find any working APK for this app.
