Don't you just hate it when your volume buttons control the notification volume rather than the media volume you actually care about?

I personally set the notification volume once, when I first set up the device, and then never touch it again... but the media volume is another story; I change that one all the time!

And when I know I'm about to blast something loud, I usually want to lower the volume in advance before playing said track.

Sadly, until now this wasn't easy to do and needed you to dig into the sub-menus of Android (unless you were already playing something that is).

This is where this new "Media volume control" option comes in.

Toggle it and from that point forward, your volume keys will control the media volume rather than the notification volume.

And should you ever change your mind, you can always toggle it off again.

(But why would you...?)

Heya, I'm a fairly new patron and owner of a GPD XD+. First of all, I'd like to thank you for all the work you put into this ROM. It's much better than the bloated mess that is the stock ROM. I do have one question. Would it at all be possible to have the built-in gamepad be recognized as a PS4 controller? I know you can toggle between X360 and PS3, but a DualShock4 mode would be so useful. I managed to get PS4 remote play working (install magisk, hide magisk manager in settings, install Sony Framework module, download and install remote play apk from apkmirror, enable magsik hide on remote play app) and it would be amazing to have controls working natively, but this is by no means a high priority request.

I could just patch the remote play app up to play nice with the gamepad driver we already have though... That would probably be a lot easier to do than writing a whole new input driver.

H found an issue, actually i am still on 2.0.3. but during video use with VLC either MX player the MP4 videos (several i tried) they go every now and then -10sec back. Sometimes after 2min, sometimes 1min. I tried everything. But what solved the problem was switching off "CPU Hotplug support". Maybe something what can be solved?

Hotplug support is broken on the XD+ and causes a variety of issues like screen refresh issues. There's a reason why it's disabled by default on CleanROM.

I use the xd plus as a steam link device to stream games. I am having an issue cause select button triggers steam overlay so i have not access to select button directly. There is not remapping for this. If you know how go solve this i would be happy

I'm annoyed by this as well, but this is a Steam Link issue. You can make the select button behave by pressing it together with the B button. I'll look into it though and see if there's a better way to work around this.

I cant help but wonder if it is possible to flash ubuntu on xd plus. That would be something. I mean there is a server oriented armversion of ubuntu
