Happy 4th July! (Patreon)

Happy 4th July to those of you in America, I hope you are celebrating in style!

I am so happy that I could take this picture today. You may remember we were advised to cut back the wonderful Plumbago or Leadwort Vine Blue Climbing Plant which originates in South Africa. It cascades over the side wall like a waterfall.

It had grown very woody and out of control having not been looked after for years.

You can see how much we cut it back. I was a little worried cutting it back so much that we would lose one of my favourite plants in the garden.

But as you can see I need not have worried. As you can see nature has done its wonders!!! It is looking magnificent and will soon be torrenting over the wall again.

I love the fact that it matches Lady Pekorina’s eyes

Camilla has taken Ophelia to stay with Aunty Nessy in The Hague today so Inaya and I are manning the fort between us. 

What with my cooking skills what could possibly go wrong!!?.....
