3rd July - a joyous sight with a new detail spotted (Patreon)

In Barcelona today and decided to do a lot of walking back from the office (the fitness focus continues.!)

I walked past the wonderful Arc de Triomf. This was built for the 1888 world fair.

What I most love about the Arc de Triomf though are the magnificent lampposts that create the avenue towards the Cuitadella Park at the other end. I think the mix of the wonderful grey ironwork with the palm trees is fabulous and it always lifts the spirits.

But every time I walk in Barcelona I spot a new little detail. And today’s favourite spotting was this ornamental urn. Not so much the urn but the snail decorating it! How fabulous is that.

Final photo is the Pharmacy I showed the other day. I noticed that it is in fact a plant shop. I do think it looks far more cheerful and happy with all the plants outside.
