28 September - a very big day! (Patreon)

Today was a very big day in our battle to sort the damp.  A specialist cistern company came and they have drained the big cistern (We have 3) to see how (and whether) it can be properly waterproofed and whether we can use it in the future for water for the garden.  So far it looks in amazing condition to us but we await their report.

If it can we will probably then drain the other 2 permanently as at least one of them goes under the house and is very likely a big cause or our damp issues.   

Today they drained the first one and lowered a man down to clear out the sludge.  And yes Camilla did ask to go down and look too.  At first they said no but at the end of the day her powers of persuasion won through!  It is huge!! We took a camera down and we will show this on the vlog.   They are coming back tomorrow to drain the one nearest the house as well.   Camilla loved being lowered down on the winch!  I was happy to stay above ground!
