@Isaac done! tomorrow i'll call my boss and tell him i need a few days off to catch up with shows and reactions lol no, but jokes aside, i think with hxh i stopped in ep26 or so so i have about 20 episodes of the show to watch plus their reactions since i can't watch an anime with them for the first time because i get lost, i need to watch the episode first and then rewatch with them 💀 the wire i think ep 6 or 7 of the first season. and this one i don't even know what is it about lol, need to see if they're watching dub or sub and watch the pilot before checking out the reaction. it's easier when it's just one episode. with hxh and the wire i'll have to slowly catch up and pray so i don't get spoiled 😂 at least one the summer is over (look at me, praying for the summer to be over when it barely has started) so all the fucking tourists can go back to their fucking homes and the restaurant will be "peaceful" again. i get payed the same if we get 3 tables or if we get 300. so as you can imagine i'm not a big fan of tourists.

So excited!!! Some lore bits/explanations for y'all: "eds" "eddies" etc. are slang for "eurodollars" which is an international currency in Cyberpunk. Sometimes also called "eurobucks" or "ebs". "BDs" are "brain dances", you guys were dead on that one, these are real recorded memories from someone although they can also be edited or tuned to enhance certain emotions or change their perception. "XBDs" are just like gorey BDs, the way you are introduced to them in the video game is as "experiencing death". You were also pretty on about Trauma Team, they are essentially like a militarized private ambulance service, so if you are rich you pay for their insurance and they will come guns blazing to get you out when you get injured. Also, Cyberpunk was originally a tabletop roleplaying game (like Dungeons & Dragons), was made into a video game in 2020, and this show is then "based" on the game. Some things you see like the thing that pops up when they call each other are straight out of the game, and there are some cameos through the show from some video game characters (with their excellent voice actors!!!) as well.

This is one of the highest rated anime out there and it won Anime of the Year at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards. The forced hate it gets on here from some is super cringe.

Hey please watch "Kaguya sama - love is war" later pleaase, it is a 37 episode series (3 seasons of 12 episodes each) and it's very funny, wholesome and well writen

nice to see 86 is at least on your radar to possibly watch in the future. would be an incredible series the girls would love and even has a female lead as i know theyve said in the past they havent watched many with female leads. violet evergarden is also one of those. Welcome to Night City! The show takes place in 2076, in a dystopian city somewhere in once California (fun fact no-spoiler, the city was rebuilt after a a nuke wiped the shit out of it in 2023 c: ) As you already said, the world is based in the controversial video game Cyberpunk 2077, the anime has dozens of Easter eggs but the story is original The show was so well received that helped a lot to put back on track the game after an initial shit show in its release, and now is kind of thriving And there is a lot of slang and terms exclusive of this world, but maybe around episode 3 would be better to address just the basics for little more context Hope you enjoy this :)

This might have been said already, but the paying more for new programs for school is very much like paying for books at American universities. You pay tens of thousands each semester just to be there. Then, for each class, companies that make the books (in bed with the universities) charge you literally hundreds per book, per class. We really aren't that far off, sadly.

Fish Smell Bad

(Spoiler free) Just for your information: Yes there is a Cyberpunk game (with Keanu Reaves!) but no it is not the same story as the anime. The show takes place a year before the events of the game in the same city (Night City) and the story was written by the same people over at CDPR. As a fan of the game, watching the anime and recognizing city landmarks, some characters, and weapons/cyberware from my time playing it was pretty damn cool lol. It is a ridiculously faithful adaptation of the world that video game brought to life and studio TRIGGER deserve all the praise they got for this show.

I didn’t know this was gonna be uploaded so soon, happy days😍 seems to be mix feelings in the chat but I think yous will really enjoy this short story, it won’t be up there with the list you mentioned at the end of Vinland (BB, BCS, AOT, avatar, full metal) but not everything can be, doesn’t mean it isn’t a great show worth watching :)

I. LOVE. THIS. SHOW. Edgerunners is amazing. I am glad you girls enjoyed the first episode, it honestly gets better from here. The show really leans heavily on the game lore (both the pen and paper RPG as well as the video game) so it might be a bit daunting at first, but I think youll be fine. Excited to watch this with you guys.
