The guy who steals and burns Ziggy’s car is played by Method Man, one of the two or three most influential members of the Wu Tang Clan (RZA is their heart and soul and leader 🙏). They were a big fucking deal in the 90s, group of rappers who’d all come from the worst living conditions in New York and wanted to make music to escape the drug scene and violence of the streets. C.R.E.A.M. is one of my fav anti-capitalist songs and Meth is really based and anti-prejudice As a special event they made an album with only one physical copy (NEVER RELEASED ANYWHERE DIGITALLY) and sold it to the highest bidder and donated the money to charity. He famously raised the price of a drug used to treat life threatening diseases like AIDS and Toxoplasmosis from $13 to $750! He spitefully bought the album and never listened to it just to be a dick. Thankfully he was arrested for security fraud but it hurt so bad to see this album, made by a group of black artists who came from nothing and wanted to represent the struggle of inner city life, bought by a rich white man who literally put a price on people’s lives…

Preach^^ was too lazy to write any of this myself. One of the most influencle rap groups of all time, many of whom are absolutely GOATed in rap history. Method man being my personal favourite (along with GZA). I was so surprised and happy when I first saw him watching through this!

Right?!? Like omfg Meth just had a stretch where he was popping up in all the HBO shows and it was so good, that man can do no wrong. My friend got a Wu tang W on her neck after seeing him and GFK and ODB live Love GZA and Meth but it bothers me how slept on RZA has been by a lot of modern day greats when he changed the whole damn music industry for them. Like he got every member to commit to the group together (most of them didn’t like each other) while all of them were signed by different music labels. They still all represented Wu Tang but could do solo projects under the brand name. Dude was huge influence the way he played with speed of tracks and layered beats with a lot of piano and threw in random samples of old songs and kung fu movies. Feel like Kanye’s messy ass owes everything to him

The prosecutor worries about what Omar wears because some jurors likely have a bias when it comes to credibility. If a witness is dressed nice, jurors may be more likely to believe them. Just like when a defendant is dressed in plain clothes and not their prison uniform during trial, jurors can subconsciously think one way about someone merely upon how they're dressed. It's an interesting psychological side of trials.
