Just a little personal FYI that relates to the show. No spoilers, I swear!!! I live on the island of Newfoundland, Canada. It’s the big and weird shaped island on Canada’s east coast, as seen in OP2 in season 1. Although it is still debated to this day, the island of Newfoundland was believed to be settled by Norse explorers well before the arrival of Europeans. There are STILL intact Viking settlements that have been preserved from over 1000 years ago, in a place called L’anse aux Meadows on our northern peninsula. It’s a protected world heritage site, please feel free to look up pictures. What’s interesting is… and again this is not a spoiler at all… the OP2 from season 1 foreshadows Thorfinn + friends stopping in Newfoundland when they cross the ocean. You guys would never get this because you’re not from the island, but area of the map that the op shows them stopping at is actually l’anse aux meadows! I grew up a couple hours drive from there, it just makes this amazing show a tiny bit more amazing for me lol. Hopefully this small detail makes it a bit more interesting for you girls and the other watchers here 😊

I still haven't listened to the review yet but I wanted to say that reunion with Thorfinn's mother was was everything I wanted, worth every year Leif spent looking for him. Leif your beautiful bastard you did it! all of this was possible because of the unrelenting love of this one good man who never gave up searching, Thors would be really proud of both his son and his friend. I'm not gonna lie if it weren't for these reactions I would have forgotten Ari even existed lmao, that reunion had way more impact than it should have thanks to you girls. I was anticipating your reaction to seeing him (specially Lola's) and it was amazing! you never gave up hope! You know, reading all of the patreon comments last episode made me really glad to know we all have this shared feeling of profound appreciation for this show and how Thorfinn's character (and overall themes of the show) can help us see things a little differently and maybe change for the better, this whole experience was quite therapeutic to say the least. Props to the whole Mappa team for making this adaptation something truly special (my favorite thing was the music, I'm gonna be listening to this OST for a long time). The wait for season 3 is gonna be really tough, but if waiting a year or two or however long it takes means we get a season of this quality, then I say it's gonna be worth it

Definitely put Monster on the list if you want to experience something on the same level of Vinland Saga.

If you guys are interested in reacting to more Vinland content, there is a great interview with the mangaka Yukimura available on Youtube. It's 38 minutes long and, after watching it, you guys will be left with a very strong impression of his character and what sort of person he is. I basically had the same reaction as Canute to Thorfinn after watching the interview: "What a beautiful man" Even if you guys don't end up reacting to it, I highly recommend you guys watch it on your own time. The music in this show omg. I can't. Yutaka Yamada is a genius. That was a perfect homecoming episode. S2 really managed to hit some highs after a slower start.
