poor Milena, she looks devastated... understandable, Thorfinn's development is one of the best things that happened in the history of manga, and no one will be able to change my mind

Olmar realizing that “Courage” doesn’t mean just facing everything straightforward, but be willing to accept your own weaknesses Was incredible. As for Throfinn I find it so beautiful how a person can go from a life of violence to accepting his past and growing from it to become a peaceful person. I’m aware that the show is about to end sadly. If your looking for short anime series that are really good after this show I would recommend to watch 1. Your Lie In April (DUB) 2. Cyber Punk Egderunners (DUB) It’s one of those rare cases where the dub is better than the sub in my opinion. The dub for those 2 shows were more impactful. Or 3. Ranking of kings.

This show is so good and the crazy thing is the manga gets soooo much better. Thorfinn in my opinion is easily in my top five characters of all time along with Walter, Eren and many others that I have ever seen in any show. Thorfinn and Eren are complete opposites and it’s amazing how much love I have for both of them for completely different reasons.

Canute's face of utter horror by the mention of Thorfinn's name... He knows what an extremely capable fighter he is and probably thinks he's there to kill him, although he doesn't know he's a about to meet a completely changed man... Can't wait for next ep, makes mondays more bearable

Do you guys plan on doing another poll to decide what you’ll watch after Vinland or do you already know? If not, I really suggest demon slayer. Season 3 is currently airing and I think you girls would really enjoy it

because there are a lot of anime definitely better than demon slayer that they haven't watched, and I think that demon slayer is the most basic manga/anime ever created, story and character writing are something really embarrassing...just anime for kids in my opinion

Judging from their reactions I think they would really love the moral nuances/philosophies explored in Monster. Would also love to see Milena and Lola watch Monster as there are very few reactions of it out there.

If it makes you feel any better: Each season is a self-contained arc. It won't be like Attack on Titan, where we'll have a break of over 12 months in the middle of an arc. Each season will feel complete. Thus, the waiting time is very bearable.

Best part is Thorfinn's character is nowhere near the peak. He'll continue to rise and shine brighter. Let's hope we'll get s3 by end of 2024 or mid 2025.

It is a return to the origins of shounen manga with its themes of hope, courage, hard work, and love, so your assertion may not be so wrong, but that is why I think it is the anime to watch now.

i’m same as milena. cried really hard when they showed flashes of thorfinn’s past years here on the farm. when he said “i’m really glad i came here” followed by “i got to meet you, too” god damn this season/arc is TOO GOOD it’s just too good it’s hard to believe

Vinland is on a another tier for me but I recommend Steins Gate Dubbed!! S Tier. Monster is also good

btw, not sure if you guys noticed, but the woman who was trying to comfort Olmar this ep was the same one who slept with him in Ep.2. Her father, who lost his hands, was the one who wanted her to marry into the Ketil family.

Something I noticed just now for the first time: when the old man talks about Olmar becoming a man, there is a neatly sliced ham in the background. It's not a whole pig, but a nice "little ham". Maybe Olmar is no "1-hit-pig"-Norse warrior, but he is able to achieve smaller feats cleanly. This detail cannot be random, because everything needs to be drawn with intent and cannot simply be there by chance. Nice little detail which really makes you appreciate the art direction and storytelling.
