Olmar is a way better character than I thought he was going to at the beginning of the season. I thought he was just gonna be a throw away laughing stock side character. This story is amazing!

Just when I thought I couldn’t enjoy Vinland saga anymore the creator Yukimura tweeted this https://i.imgur.com/AFUhD6p.jpg As a fan of the manga this show has been such a gift. I love that Olmar and Ketil’s father exist as characters to give us a glimmer of hope. A family can do awful things but genuine good will and basic values can still shine through

3 more episodes and this great series will come to an end :(. Because of that I’d like to recommend 2 great anime shows that I think you two would absolutely enjoy so much. 1. Your Lie In April (DUB) 2. Cyberpunk Edgerunner’s (DUB) It’s a rare occasion but kinda like full metal alchemist I think the DUB is better than the SUB in both shows. They have REALLY good voice actors. It just Hits more in DUB. They are both short series.

I recommend they watch Berserk (1997), dub version. I feel like it would be a great introduction to animes of that era.

A really great episode with Olmar and Thorfinn at the center. It's remarkable to see how far these characters have come since episode 1/2 of season 2. The next three will be even better. I'm already looking forward to them. The season finale will probably be very mixed though, both beautiful and painful. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a quick releasing season 3. In the waiting time, you can just watch the show another time. 😌

Vinland saga is like poetry. It rhymes. Olmar: i did not have courage to face mockery. Later thorfinn, being mocked by 100s of men, yet remains calm and polite. And with each passing moment Drott felt more and more humiliated. And started throwing punches. As manga reader, i know what is about to happen but the anticipation of it all being adapted is what is unbearable for some of us. So if anime onlies think reading manga will make it easier, it may not be true in all cases. They've also shifted things ( saving the best moments for the last). Even if we know what is about to happen, a lot of us find us absolutely on edge of our seats because of certain changes.

Every dialogue change and scene rearrangement I've always liked better in the anime so far. I'm looking forward to seeing how they adapt the ones they've left out so far. As an Attack on Titan fan, I really hope that the animation team for AOT will also do the same scissor work and go their own way to adapt the finale in a better fleshed out form. Mappa shows here that they can do it!

We're not talking about mine or yours' opinions. MyAnimeList.net has a ranking system which places Monster above all those 3 you mentioned. Numbers do not lie. Monster is objectively more loved by the vast majority of people.

You're putting words in my mouth. Never made any claim that conspiracy exists. Didn't even use the word. I merely stated that numbers don't always represent truth. I'll take any claim you make with bucket load of salt. Just because the way you have conducted yourself here in comments over past months. I think Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen are too similar to many other anime. I'd recommend One Piece (just first 516 episodes, before timeskip or until ep. 746 - end of Dressrosa arc...I know the idea is not popular but One Piece has so many funny, extremely beautiful and emotional moments and I think they would love it), Haykiuu, One Punch-man, Assassination Classroom, Vanitas no Carte and Angels of Death

I would recommend to rewatch a couple of early episode from season 1 after season 2 ends, like episode 1 - 4 for a full circle back to reminisce thor’s legacy. I think after watching s2, many of those moments in s1 feel more powerful. Maybe can pack it into one video or together with last episode of s2

You are wilding saying "just first 516 episodes", If they are watching half of One Piece they might as well watch it all. One Piece is fantastic though, and I think they would enjoy Demon Slayer and Jujustsu Kaisan, but at least for now (In terms of where those 2 shows are at right now) in terms of depth of its characters/story vs the shows they've been watching recently its would definitely be a different vibe.

I would recommend Chainsaw Man, It's a really fun show and it's good. Jujutsu Kaisan is also a good pick with its next season coming out soon, you guys could catch up before it starts airing. And honestly from reading the manga of Jujutsu and knowing what the 2nd season is going to cover I would say this next season should win anime of the year

bro forgot that there is aot finale this year, and like every year, Aot will win, and then honestly, the only reason jjk would win, is that people are crazy about battle shonen, i read the manga, everyone said "shibuya arc is a masterpiece" but it's just ok, i will vote for vinland saga 2, the only real pearl among this year's anime...

The manga have some imagery with symbolism in the cover art of some chapters that didn’t get translated into the anime. So rereading the manga I think is worth it

Idk Chainsawman and JJK sure are well written but it doesn't strike me as their cup of tea. There are characters and situations that make this anime very uncomfortable ( CSM more than JJK). Maybe I'm wrong, I think a MHA that certainly has many clichés could be better: the characters are great and there are many emotionally engaging scenes. Or Monster, although I'd rather not, it's divinely written but I don't think it will bring many views and some episodes are really boring

Vinland Saga is almost finished, we will have to wait 2, 3 years and no announcement was made during Mappa’s conference on a potential date... Always a huge pleasure to discover your reactions, I will never get tired of it. I like your interpretations, and how you express your emotions. If you want to watch a one shot: Death Parade, Banana Fish and Dororo, Violet Evergardeen are the best for me Jujustu Kaisen is my favorite manga but it's not finished and there is only one season. But if you want some happiness after Vinland Saga and Aot: Haikyu Have a good day and take care of yourself! ( sorry for my English and grammar mistakes )

they can just react to single arcs and put them in different polls. One Piece is a masterpiece and I think they shouldn't ignore it because it's long. In my opinion it is in his own category with few other anime even if I don't like how slow is the pace in arcs like Alabasta and Wano.

It's not bad, but not that great either. There are anime that I recommend more in that genre, for example SpyXFamily or Kaguya Love &War.

Oh nah, I agree that Vinland should win it. Made a mistake when I said "should win". But I do think Jujutsu might take it, I like Shibuya a lot so I guess it might be a personal preference. AOT may not win because battle shonen have a huge boost to people liking something.
