I'm honestly a bit stunned neither of you have had a grilled cheese sandwich! It never dawned on me that would be an "american" thing. 😂 There are basically endless variations you can make (add bacon, tomato, tuna to name a few) but the most basic one is what Dom was making here, simply two slices of any kind of bread coated on the back ends with either butter or mayonnaise (big debate on which one is the "better" choice) and fried on a pan til the cheese is melted and the back sides are lightly brown and crisp. Super simple, super delicious!

I grew up in the UK and never had an american-style 'grilled cheese' until I made one myself having seen it on American TV shows. Very delicious though!

ah you are so close to "finishing the book" of mr robot. close to the finale. i'm getting a feeling similar to when i was close to finishing the series. mixture of excitement, curiosity, some dread because i don't like endings or 'goodbyes.' i hate goodbyes so much i've acted incredibly childish before 😅 refusing to watch final episodes. took almost a decade to close the book on Buffy. still running away from The Good Place 🙈) well since this is now your experience, the anticipation is more fun. less nostalgia sads weighing me down this time 😁 𝗦𝗢 loved that you guys chose to view mr robot 🖤🖤🖤🖤 black for elliot's hoodie (which i think is actually rami malek's hoodie) funny timing. over-reactional-me who sometimes needs years before i'll finish a show. after finishing a show if it leaves an emotional mark, sometimes i don't want to look at it again. at least not for a while. i hadn't rewatched mr. robot until you guys started it. i've been 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗴𝗴𝗴 the content. so much of the show became more relevant to my life again unfortunately. tho very fortunately i only mean the issues that are important to it, not any violence 🙌💫 praise guan yin or whoever you wanna praise

American grilled cheese always just seemed so messy to me. Much prefer to have a toastie with all the cheese and whatever else you want sealed inside.
