Hey all, apologize for the late update, I try to keep in touch at least once a week, but couldn’t make it happen until now. I’ve been very busy with Resin Of Earth tweaking gameplay systems to provide a bit more narrative intrigue and also unifying and updating the game’s graphics.

As you may or may not know in Resin Of Earth you are leading a group of people through a strange and sometimes terrifying process involving an excursion into the depths. Much of the game is carrying out the tasks required of this process but also maintaining the morale and resolve of your group as weird things begin to happen. Previously the only way to improve the group’s resolve was to find narcotic plants located in the depths, but I’ve added more meaningful interaction between you and your party in the way of conversations you can have with them which give them a little more character as well as expand on the backstory and lore of the game.

Looking through the spaces you explore and conversing with your party can help them build resolve as well. However, they might also just become terrified, depending on what you’re looking at.

This game is not as much about reading documents as Growing My Grandpa! was I think there’s less “room to breathe” even though there’s really no time limit. Most of the information and story and progression to be gleaned accurs within your observations of the depths and your speaking to your party members.   As well as maybe being my traditionally scariest game yet this may also be the weirdest in terms of the imagery and some of what happens. So look forward to it! I have been able to be pretty productive recently and I’m really hoping I can get something delivered to you all by the end of the month.

Sorry again for my relative radio silence it’s just been sort of a crazy month, but mostly a good month!

Will try to stick to my once-a-week post more strictly from now on. As always, thank you so much for your support, I’m really really excited to once again deliver something to you all soon. I am infinitely grateful for your continued support.

Yours In Games,

Yames
