Hey everybody, it has been a little while since an update so I just wanted to reach out. Family Vacation is like 90% done, there are just little bits and pieces of bugs/errors plus some minor asset tweaks. I want to make before I get it out to you. I appreciate you all being so patient. I think there's an old cliche for video game dev, or maybe more generally software dev about how one spends like 20% of a projects development time on the first 80% of a game and then that last 80% of a projects development time on the last 20%. It's a cliché because it's true!

But I do have sort of a surprise planned for you all too coming in the next few days, besides just Family Vacation. A lot of ideas I have been having recently have been around archaeology or exploring different sites studying things, In service of that, I've started designing the bones of a system revolved around examining carvings/reliefs/artifacts and then putting them together with known information and historical contexts to try and make an account of what happened in the past. In order to put this tool in a gameplay context I am making a teeny-tiny game that is sort of a spiritual successor to Water Womb World. I will probably release it publicly when it is done, but wanted to give you all the first crack at it so when I have a working build I will be distributing keys to you all for it.

(As you can see, very Water Womb World-y)

I may be implementing this archaeology-esque tool in Flavius as well, if I can find a place for it, or modify it to suit my needs. Thanks everyone for your continued patronage, I'll be back with another update soon.

All seem like good news. Really enjoyed Water Womb World, the atmosphere was superb. Can't wait to get my hands on Family Vacation.
