Poll Results + some sneak peeks (Patreon)

So, as everyone probably has already seen, Flavius got the most votes, so Flavius is going to be the next game I will be making! I'm excited to get started on this because out of the three Flavius is the one I have spent the most time mulling over ideas for because it is actually a story I came up with a long time ago and sat on for a good long while.

As I've said before it will function a bit like a visual novel, with different courses of action and dialogue choices revealing little bits of lore here and there about the world and the mysterious nature of Flavius. Below is an overworld map I had made previously just to try and nail the look and feel of the game, but I really like the idea of there being different locations to visit with different characters to speak to depending on the time.

Family Vacation is super close to being done I just need to nail down the final details, unfortunately I spent some precious time trying to make the dialogue system more efficient before I realized that it was going to take a lot more time than I had previously realized, so I i re-implemented the old system which is not as graceful as I'd like, but gets the job done. I've also been going and making the art a little better, I posted the attached video in the discord, but I'm def more proud of this design than I used to be.

A while back I posted about the genogram system, I've actually redesigned that into the triune brain system, which is like a way of observing the environment and getting to lore involving a developed ability by the protagonist to focus different cores of their human mind on ancestral portions of cognition. It definitely makes more sense in practice and within the thematic context of the game then it does explaining it here though!
