Just a quick update on upcoming releases. Here is what is planned for next couple of months. Thank you so much for your ongoing support!

1.5.5 (in the next few days):

* calling it 1.5.5 because it is more like a full release given number of things in it, but it does not require new keys and does not have new scenes. It will be FULL download (3+GB) and not a patch because I restructured the assets to support a new install/patch system

* many bug fixes

* ease-of-use tweaks

* Character scaling (as shown here!)

* some new morphs thanks to backer Ren!


1.6 (end of March):

* tons more trigger, trigger actions, and animatable parameters, including morphs. It should be possible to make basic "games" in VaM starting with this release

* Expression morphs will be added in this release to allow animation of expressions


1.7 (end of April):

* content focused build: male character improvements (more morphs, new skins), new environment, more clothes, etc.


There will be more in the releases than listed here, but this should give you a broad idea of what the focus is for each release.

What's the plan for updating to the new job system in Unity 2018.1? I'm hoping that will result in some big performance increases.

Hye New here :) --- Took the creators registration. Does that mean i can add custom models? Was wondering if you are accepting custom models for lets say new versions, I make paid 3d clothing and accessory meshes in other games. And do freelance custom jobs here and there. I would be delighted to help add to the content list. Looking forward to your reply! :) Also hi to everyone else who is part of this amazing game/simulation :)

Just out of curiosity, do scaled up/down models end up taking more/less resources? If I were to say, make a dollhouse-sized scene with 3-4 models, would that be as taxing on my system as if they were all full-sized?

I looked at the 2018.1 beta briefly, and a bunch of the assets I was using were not compatible. I decided to hold off just a little bit on trying for 2018.1 until providers get a chance to update. I'm super hopeful I'll be able to unlock some performance with the job system even though VaM is already high multithreaded. I believe Unity unlocked more things that can accessed on threads now.

They take the same regardless of size. You could turn off soft-body physics on some of the models to help with the load.

Welcome! There currently is no way to add your own models. The characters in VaM are based on DAZ studio Genesis 2 figures. I have plan to update to Genesis 3/8 sometime in future and also add ability for some custom import. If you have DAZ experience and can make Genesis 2 clothing, I can certainly add those into VaM.

I can't tell if he's been scaled down or she's been scaled up, but the point is that it really doesn't matter, they're just coordinates. Now what we really need are fairy wings... :)

I know you must be so busy, But i have a suggestion for very minor tweaks in the same category of scale that you are working on right now I would have lots of usage out of Head scale, Arms length and Hand scale. Would really appreciate that! As for hair. Perhaps also add a X,Y,Z Scale on the hair sometimes it pokes out. Since you are already working on scales. Using morphs always puts you in a crazy situation. And these things would really help ^^ I am gonna read up further on porting my meshes to Genesis 2. :)

i have to be honest i dont use this software for sexual reasons at all. i just poke fun and laugh at all the things i can make them do. and you can bet your ass first chance i get im gonna shove his head up her ass and say "these aren't my reading glasses."

I have a few things left to do before enabling head, arm, hand scale morphs. The current colliders on these areas are fixed and need to be updated to auto-collider system. Then scaling will work correctly with accurate collision. Same for some of the hairs. I need to convert them to wrap model instead of fixed model so head scale will scale the hair as well.

Hey Meshed, big fan! You mentioned earlier in this post that the update may be posted today. Any chance thats happening? Im gonna be away from my vive all weekend and would love the chance to check the update out. But no rush!

I'm making what I think is final build now. I have a little bit more testing to do after that, and then I zip it up and upload it. So maybe about 2 hours assuming no snags.

Looks like it won't be tonight. I ran into an issue in final testing and it is proving hard to find the cause. Will finish up tomorrow.

Scaling of characters is a HUGE development ! This Meshed VR app is so powerful it'll take years to go through it all. Actually the possibilities are endless! Being a photographer this software helps me invent new angles, poses, lighting adjustments, and way more... Frankly, I have decided to only keep this VR app installed for my Vive. I dont need any other VR app !

.So I pledged 8 bucks for the creator content but the keys still say unlock now. do I need to wait for the next cycle to hit before i can access it?

No, if you scroll down, you'll find a feb 8th post with the key you need. Versions 1.5, 1.5.1, 1.5.2, and 1.5.5 all use the same keys. New keys are posted every time a major new version comes out.
