Here's another quick preview of some of the progress to the battle system. I'll be updating the game with the new changes on the 29th, after the rest of the battle fx are complete.
There's lots of invisible changes on top of all the new battle fx, and I'll explain them in detail here.

-Every attack has it's own damage modifier and hit chance modifier. Harder hitting attacks and attacks with nasty side-effects generally have lower hit chances now
-Arena mode now shows your chance to hit and crit before you launch an attack (not invisible, but easy to miss. This is displayed near the bottom-center of the screen)
-Defense reduces damage by less, but reduces damage by more the higher level it is. A level 10 defense will remove about 25% of defense from total damage received, rounded up (~3), up to 75% at 512 (~385). Other effects can increase this further, such as Barrier, but total damage reduction caps out at 95%.
-Physical and Magical attacks will now use Defense or Wisdom for damage reduction, respectively
-The higher your Monster's SKI, the higher their crit chance, ranging from 5% at level 1 to 50% at 512.
-All Attacks are now fully functional
-Sand attack now causes "blind." Blind will reduce all attacks chance to hit by 15%, this lasts for about 20 seconds
-Beat wings reduces chance to be hit by all attacks by 15% when active
-Poison now deals extra damage equal to 25% of the initial attack damage, over 15 seconds
-Barrier now adds a shield, equal to damage reduction from Wisdom, to all attacks. This lasts for 30 seconds, reduced by 7.5 seconds each time damage is absorbed. Works equally against both Physical and Magical attacks
-Seduce is now a damaging Magical attack which takes it's damage from CHA instead of WIS. Seduce also has a large change to cause a 3 second stun.
-Changed some attack ranges, all ranges are now equally 150 units apart, and shove is between 0 and 100 units apart. The other ranges are 100-250, 250-400, 400-550, and 550-700.
-All Magical attacks now properly cost MP to use\
-MP Regenerates over time, 5% every 7.5 seconds
