I spent this week doing all the logic for setting up and switching between the different powers/abilities that you can drain from the environment, or gain from magic spells.

Right now I have it set up so that you can have 4 absorbed abilities, in addition to the weapons and items you have equipped.

While I test this stuff, I have the other items the player previously had (the potion and wand, etc) temporarily disabled.  This things will come back as items you can equip in place of the pistol and knife, but I didn't need them around for this test.


The tentacle trap will likely be set up as a castable spell this week before I release a new test build.

I've also updated the spell book so that there are no redundant spells listed.  

I made a few other small adjustments, including adding some physics, updating some of the objects to be a little faster, and updating a few icons.

I also found a really nice village set that fits the look of what I want to do, so while I still want to create my own, I have something that fits in the meantime to use, so I don't need to wait until my stuff is done.  I can instead focus on my destructable props from this set.


I've got a few things I want to work on early this week, but then expect what is hopefully one last combat test build later in the week!
