I spent this week putting (most) of the finishing touches on the various base abilities you can absorb.

The plan is each absorbed gives access to two abilities related to that element.  Some of these abilities will have limited uses.

The gun and knife are the standard attacks.  I've sped up the end of the knife animation to make it quicker.  

Then Air has a boomerang type ability.  This is very powerful, but you must make sure to catch it or else you lose the ability.  You also have the push ability here.

Water has the water ball that can be used to knock enemies back, and make things wet.  Besides putting out fires you can get enemies completely soaked.  Careful though, this will make them very difficult to charm!  Water also has the cold spray.  This will slow enemies down, and if they're wet, it will freeze them solid.  Frozen enemies can be easily dispatched, or saved for later, so that you can "recharge" with them.

Earth has the shield spell.  Like before, you can hit it to make it fire off several rocks straight forward .  It also has the stone spike.  Currently, this will damage enemies, and knock them backwards.  I want to do a better effect, and once I've updated it, it may impale weaker enemies.

Finally Fire offers fire breath as an ability.  This time you can move around and aim it much better.  Fire also lets you conjure a fireball.  While it takes a while to create, and moves slowly, its deadly to the targets it hits!


While I still need to add a few more absorbable abilites(From witch doctor and such) The big thing I need to do now, is remove the redundant spells, and add the ability to switch between absorbed abilities quickly.

I'm pretty excited about this and want to get a new combat test out as soon as I can to get some feedback on these update, so look forward to that soon!

Elemental Spell Effects

This is a kind of showcase for the various abilities you get from absorbing an element directly. I plan to have additional effects that are absorbed from enemies, and some you can gain my casting the correct spell. (Example being calling in a storm and gaining powers from that event.) I'm still toying with the idea of expelling the effect for a powerful spell, but you lose the abilities.
