Happy Mother's Day!!!

I mentioned previously that I wanted to focus on creating some more spells, so that's what I'm gonna focus on in this update today.

As you can see in the video above, there are a couple of new spells/effects I did this week.

I've tried to make spells that are fun to use in combat, but that I might also use in other ways, or have non combat purposes.

The first spell shown is the laser spell. It will cause enemies and objects to rapidly heat up until they explode.

Next is the water ball/bomb - Enemies hit with it will be knocked back, and made wet.  As you can see it will also put out some fires as well.  If the water bomb is frozen, it turns into a spear of ice that does a lot of damage.  I have an icicle mesh standing in for the spear, but I'd eventually like to make something a little more jagged looking.

Then finally I haven't created the spell, but I built a volume as the effect of a cold spell.  This spell would cool any enemy that passes through it, and slow down their movement.   If the enemy is wet, it would also eventually freeze them in the block of ice.   I'll have to continue to adjust the size and speed of the volume, so that enemies will freeze in it appropriately.

I even added a visual effect so you can tell when enemies are cold, and thus slowed down.

I've got a few more spells and effects I want to create in the next week or so, and then I'll release another test with the updated spells to see how fun they are.
