This week I took some time to make a few smaller changes to a few things. A few of them just prepping for some possible future changes.
The bigger things I worked on was setting up enemy blocking and finishing out the joystick spell casting menu.
You might recognize this as an older casting system I tried to use way back when, and it is! I really liked it, and now that there is stuff to do outside of casting, I'm reintroducing it. The drawing symbols system is still there for mouse and keyboard users.
Enemies, some of them at least, can now block attacks. I'm still deciding what attacks I'll allow them to block, and what will break through their block. Hopefully this will produce a little more depth to combat.
I also did a little more character modelling, but nothing I'm ready to show off quite yet, so keep an eye out for that!
