This week I finished up the model for the hobgoblin dude.  I've got preliminary colors on him, but I want to try to paint a few different textures in substance painter to give him a bit of variety.

As you can see, he has a few different armor pieces(which need to be weathered a bit).  The plan is to also randomly attach these pieces, again to give him a little variety.  We'll see how it goes.   The goal with the armor was to make it look like its ill fitting stuff that he's stolen or collected.  These aren't the type of guys to smith their own equipment.

I am thinking about giving him an alternate pair of pants as well, but also expect to see a few of these guys running around in the buff!

I also looked at some other possible weapons for Meridiana, and I'm thinking of giving her set melee weapons, as opposed to having her pick stuff up.  Nothing too powerful, as she is a sorceress, but that's something I will look at slowly, as I want to focus on creating some new characters for now.

I'll see if I can get a posed glamour shot of this guy sometime this weekend!

as morbid as it sounds; run in the buff

That One Guy Who Never Pledges

Will the different armor pieces and stuff affect their stats or be purely cosmetic? I think it would be cool if they had a few different armor pieces and different weapons with different values so they can randomly be a bit tougher or do a bit more damage, but I'm not sure how that would affect the game's difficulty.
