I had planned to focus completely on creating the charmed spell, but this week I also went back and did a couple of adjustments to how a few systems worked.


I had previously put together a system so various elemental effects could interact.  I made some adjustments to that system this week, so that it would be more streamlined and easier to implement down the line.  As an example, I've added a wet state, so if you're on fire, and you get wet, it will put the fire out.
The system is still pretty modular, so if I need to make further adjustments later on, I certainly can.


I also needed to make a few adjustments to the spellcasting system.  As it stood, if there was a spell you wanted to repeatidly, you'd have to re aim each time.  Now, It will go back to the aim mode so you can cast the spell again.

I want to make further adjustments to have Meridiana aim with the camera, but that's purely cosmetic, so I'm not super concerned about doing that right away.


I did finally get the charm spell implemented, although I'd like to do something special with the camera, and maybe add another particle effect.  The spell does work however.


At this point, I think I need to polish a few things, and then add the enemies back into the game.  After that is done, we should be back on track!

At that point do we get an updated demo, I can hardly wait to see all this in action. If that's a picture of the new charm spell it looks really cool :)

yeah, Once I've got enemies working, and a few spells in game, I'll put out a new demo of everything.
