Good afternoon everyone!
I hope your day is going well!
Today’s the day for the devlog, and due to time constraints with me taking care of my family (moms surgery didn’t go too well but it's ok) it will be rather short.

I wasn’t really satisfied with how the first level of predation was and/or played. So instead i’ve drafted up a whole new level one that will finally put the focus back onto platforming.

So what's changing.
In a short recap, your gonna be using your legs a lot more, and your gonna have more goals

The first platform is completely changed, along with really the whole first level.
I also plan on making the tutorial scene more properly in depth, and break the fourth wall by telling you what buttons do.

While i’m on the topic of the fourth wall, how would you feel about a button that you could push, that would give you a tip or a hint on what to do next?

I’ve kept the idea of the QRD levers opening doors, however now they lift sections of the lockdown in the subway station, instead of the subway train doors.
I’ve added a decent amount of traps too
Coming now will be more of those static gas traps, lazer traps that will fire projectiles that you will have to dodge, door trap that will pull you into them and sap your health after some fun times, and timed instant reset traps, where if you mess up you have to restart from the last checkpoint.

I plan to see everyone's response on this new level design, and if people like it then i’ll go ahead and design level two in a similar way.

Besides that vero’s been hard at work with a soft rewrite of the game, fixing lines of code from days of old, cleaning out unused assets that, The game should also cap at 60 FPS now, it's more of a thing for us.
In the future we are gonna be working on remaking the combat AI along with movement as well.

Vero also wanted me to mention that the website is a bit out of date, as almost all of their time has gone to helping me with the new systems. However it's new URL is https://predation.azureedge.net

Lastly I wanted to address a question I got.
“Where's a bug patch”
I wanted to tackle this because I feel as tho it's important. There will not be a bug patch for predation as it seems as tho no bug is super major, on top of that. The bugs that are still in the game needed large fixes to AI or movement, and since we were going to revamp those next, we decided to just go ahead with their update.
