Hey everyone!

I'm happy to say that I'm still on the straight and narrow, over a month clear of that stuff now and continuing to build up some stability again; it's certainly been pretty tough, and I'm not out of the woods yet, but I'm so much more confident in my own ability than  even as recently as a couple of months ago, that regardless of the challenges I know I'll carry on ^^

To that effect, let me tell you about some of the progress made!

In terms of the game itself, there's now an intro sequence and short tutorial of the very basics, which will be bolstered in later updates with more fleshed out story details but for now was a very good learning experience in coding cutscenes in general!

Aside from that I've been making numerous bug-fixes and re-doing some aspects entirely; stuff like the weird glitchy-ass hatch door have been entirely re-worked so they don't suck anymore, which I can again attribute to not having an addled mind anymore and being able to realise how blinkered my thinking had become xD

Also of note is the second animation for the Pharmacy Worker is complete and like 90% implemented; just need to get the timing of the animation loops as close to perfect as I can and we'll be there!

And a few more fixes and additions that I, flaky as I am, can't think of for the moment; however this is also a fiendish segue into the other big news that's actually been a thing for a little while but transpired right before the ordeal with the meds so I neglected to mention; a very good friend of mine and long time supporter of the game by the name of Sprrigs has very kindly offered to kick my ass into gear when it comes to organization, and is also heading Horned Lizard Studios' bug testing division!

This has already been a huge boon to me, as you can imagine; I think it's become clear that I just don't have the capacity to manage all aspects of this project myself, and with Sprrigs being naturally adept at not making things a tangled ball of horror like I tend to, it's really allowing me to focus on what's actually important and vital to the progress of the game rather than what I assume to be the best course of action at the time.

The bug team has already had a version from me and sent it back with their bug reports and suggestions and such, and the whole process is going so smoothly I might be fooled into thinking I have some degree of competence! But as always it's the help of you guys that's keeping this train rolling and I reckon these changes will allow the game to progress at a pace that doesn't overwhelm me but still gets a good amount of directed work done ^^

I think if I carry on I'll probably just be rambling so I'll sign off for now, but yes new versions are in the works and being tested by a proper team of people helping out, managed by the wonderful Sprrigs, and hopefully completed as soon as comfortably possible by yours truly ^^

oh also lastly he wanted me to share this with you too:

This is our Trello! Sprrigs will be updating it so it'll actually get updated, and there you'll get to see what I'm currently working on and what I plan to work on next, what's been recently fixed, etc etc.

I'll be honest with you guys, Sprrigs just asks me questions and I mumble something vaguely coherent and he works his magic onto this modern technology; I couldn't ask for a better right hand man xD
