Hello one and all!


Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, good times to one and all and all that jazz whomever you may be; I hope you've all been having fun so far and haven't died from overconsumption quite yet, because I have a little treat for you!

That is Predation Alpha 0.07, a present from myself and Byful to you all this Christmas!


We hope you enjoy, Byful has put in a ton of work getting the new engine up and running and I'm pleased to say the golden retriever is fully implemented and available for your entertainment! 

To get him to trigger the attack to down Amber you need to be within swinging distance of his can, or alternatively you can press Q at any time to down Amber and see the downed animation for each enemy a little easier that way.

Also included is sound now! Where it counts too ;) if you're not a fan of that I'd suggest muting the game, as I've not put a mute button in for that yet, but that leads me to the next thing.


Now that this version is complete and the engine's base mechanics are all whirring away nicely, Byful's going to step away for a little while and focus on his own stuff for a bit while I crack my knuckles and get deep into this engine he's built up for me!

This means I'll be adding new bits and pieces as I familiarize myself and will release some hotfixes and updates to the game to include some things you may notice aren't currently there; things like the cellphone pause menu, the destructable drinks machines, the kickable toilet paper (yeah I spent time doing that) etc. and I do plan to have that all back in, *especially* the TP, and with the awesome work Byful's done here we're on much firmer ground for the future, I feel ^^

This also means production is nearly on the move again! Byful has pulled the heavy load most of the way, now I'm here to snatch it at the end point and take all the glory as we move on into the future of entirely new content and levels instead of this samey business. We've been in the subway for a while now eh?


I want to thank you all for your patience in these past few months; I won't get all mushy, those of you that have been following a while will know the skinny by now and I won't repeat it, but suffice to say I wouldn't be releasing this today if it weren't for your unwavering support and love and enthusiasm, and I honestly hope this little suprise gave you a smile and a little extra christmas cheer; you guys are awesome, here's hoping 2019 is the year this gets crazy!

mabe i did it wrong, but ive seen only 3 animations in the game, and didnt notice finished level or input controls being changed, just hitzone is fixed allthouth AI stopped fighting, just was standing still and atacking only face to face. While i still feel you were working on engine, by that time on unity2d youd probably get more content with less effortm while using same assets. Im not on discord,but im judjing completely based on my own progress in game im making, and my life experience

so in 3 moths to be honest i expected to have some different experience, no pressure tho, just woundering if i didnt visit some locations or smt, cant find the female v female animation in game and few others

It took awhile cause Seph's builds were a nightmare to code since it was very messy without any notes or anything. So i had to re-program the entire game, This version has completely different code in it. Basically it's not the same Predation as it once was. Hi Guys, Good to see some more progress on the game. Since it's in alpha, I won't bother with bugs but I do have an important question: will the pharmacy worker have a ground attack in later versions? She just does the same thing if she gets to Amber on the ground.

Please let me know about the bugs, they don't take long to fix; and Sephra is currently working on the ground animation for the pharmacist.

I'm having an issue with the game. It launches and then I just sit at a screen without able to get the game to start.

either Z or Enter key is to select option while arrow keys is to switch options, currently only new game and exit works
