2020 in an error message (Patreon)

I just got this error message when I tried to update my password manager:

Yes LastPass, we know. 2020 has been challenging for all of us.

With that said: I am fully moved down to LA and I love this house so much. I will catch myself sitting in a random corner, just looking around and smiling. You should find someone who looks at you like I look at this house, AKA like they're thinking "I can't wait to install a 220V outlet in you so I can use you to charge my car."

Other reasons I'm happy:

• My manager Luke got me a fridge with an ice maker as a house warming gift. Yeah, he bought me a fricking fridge and it is one of the nicest gifts I've ever gotten. I'm drinking ice water 24/7 now, and pee about twice as much as I did before it got installed.

• I'm working on a half-loft for my bed. Want an oddly specific hill to die on? Join me on the hill of "all beds should be elevated because of all the extra storage you get underneath."

Just finished the structure that the bed rests on. Next step is figuring out what I want the finished bed + staircase to look like.

This month left me feeling pretty sore. First there was the move, and as soon as the last cardboard box had dropped, I immediately started working on a build. In case you missed it, I built a fully automated photo booth for Scraps using LEGO Mindstorms. I accumulated 14 hours of footage for that project! And then edited it down to a 14 minute video.

So I'm going to take some time off to rest and work on the house. And also because I turn 30 November 1st! I just found out that my family was planning to come and surprise me for my birthday, but that they had to cancel their plans because of the travel restrictions between Sweden and the US. 

I haven't seen them in over a year now, and celebrating my 30th without them feels a bit sadder than I want to admit. So I'm going to spend my birthday in a cabin in the desert, looking at the stars, admiring this tiny boot I got for Scraps.

I bought it because the claws on her back paw were getting so worn down. I mean, just look at it. Pretty hard to be sad while looking at this tiny boot-clad paw.
