Hi! It's me, your local workshop gnome. I've spent the week trying to get the new workshop under control, and looking back, I realize all I've really done is build a bunch of boxes. I turn 30 in two days, maybe this is indicative of that. Gone are the fun creative 20's. Here is the age of boxes.

BOX 1: my two printer 3D printer farm

First out, we have my least favorite box I've built this week. I made it so that I could stack my two 3D printers on top of each other. It saves bench space. It is very exciting.

BOX 2: electronics station

Next out, we have my consolidated soldering/electronics station. You could describe it as a box on a box on a box. Actually that's probably the only way you can describe it.

Wow. I'm really earning your patronage with this content.

BOX 3: Laser cutter station

Ok, this is really the only box worthy of your attention. I made a custom station/rolly cart for my laser cutter! It has a section for my new air filter, a bunch of shelves for materials and wheels for days.

I used a domino joiner for the first time to make it. And then I gave up and started using screws again. Domino joiners really require you to make proper plans, and I'm more of a "measure once and curse later" kind of person.

CLOVER JEWELRY SHELVES

Last project for the week, and look at that, it's not a box! I needed jewelry storage for my bedroom, so I designed these acrylic shelves. I want the bedroom to feel like stepping in to a forrest, so I made them to look like clover growing out of the wall.

I cut the shelves using my laser cutter, spray painted the edges silver and then used a hot air gun to make the bends. I'll attach the design files to this post in case you're interested. Pls send me photos if you end up making your own version!

In other news, anyone else's dog pee in the dishwasher? Or just mine? Any guesses as to WHYYYYY SCRAPS WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?????

XOXO
Simone
