Hello patrons!

We got something unique for you today!

As you may know, MGS is now a TTRPG music label (as far as I know, the very first in the world!). We didn't make any public announcement yet, but we signed other artists some months ago for an incredible opportunity we got. The info was available if you looked closely on some of our medias ;)

The details of all of that will be shared publicly soon. In the meantime, we are putting powers into your hands (again!).

Today, we have the chance to showcase an artist I really like - Élise in the Clouds -.

Élise in the Clouds is a TTRPG music composer that writes cinematic & ambient tracks for enhancing your gaming experience. She also writes neoclassical post-rock.

Her inspirations are a mix of fantasy, horror, sci-fi, lo-fi and neoclassical genres, such as Justin Bell, Borislav Slavov, Berlinist, Christopher Larkin, British Sea Power, but also Olafur Arnalds, Eydis Evensen, Hania Rani and Joe Hisaishi.

She isn't part of MGS, but she may soon. What's why we need you. Please give a listen to her music and tell us if you'd like to receive tracks from her from times to times (4 tracks every two months, for example) on Patreon. She will not replace Filip. It will just bring some diversity to our audio offer.

Artists showcases will be a very rare occurrence.

Additionally, please ask her to consider selling her albums on Bandcamp. I'd be interested in purchasing a couple albums of hers on that platform.

So I'm a bit unsure, leaning towards yes. Im not a music expert but - songs seem balanced louder than MGS normal stuff. As in at default volume, they are quite higher than rest of my MGS tracks. This isnt a deal breaker but it is a bit jarring going from MGS track to these. - Many of the tracks seemed to have quite a bit high pitch tones which i found a little grating at such frequency + I see there is clear inspiration from Dark Souls in some of these and rest of her work. I love Dark Souls, so that is great. -/+ The style seems different than MGS, which can be both good and bad. Im open to hearing new things though, particularly since stuff gets categorized anyway. + I did like a few of the tracks. A Storm is Coming seems pretty flexible for encounters. I've used the Stranger Strings drop before as an intro to a BBEG combat and this felt like it wouldve been a great follow-up to that. I can see me using Bay of Meandering Souls in some games as well.

I agree with the first 2 bullets for sure. I thought the same things when listening to some of her tracks but thought it might just be me so I didn't say anything.
