Finally managed to do a new #WACUP #beta build as 1.8.13.13964 (also 1.8.12.13944 earlier in the week) after throwing out a few weeks work.

Folder monitor, AdLib support, improved library handling, quicker podcast updates.

Changelogs for the build are at https://getwacup.com/changelog/

The folder monitor (known as watch folders in the old library plug-in) is part of the local library plug-in & allows for configuring a folder to be watched for adds/edits/removals via periodic scanning.

My implementation vs ml_local also allows for more control over each folder.

Working on folder monitor is where a chunk of work was discarded as I couldn't (for now) get live monitoring working in a manner that didn't cause more issues & processing.

As live monitoring would help remove most of the need for periodic scanning but only if it works correctly.

However not all of the folder monitor work was a waste & there's changes to my local library plug-in that make it now soft-delete entries so it's easier to "recover" custom metadata for files that are removed (accidentally or not during folder monitor scans).

Other changes include faster scanning of podcast subscriptions (subject to your internet connection speed), fixing/improving my nde db implementation (more robust, bit faster, less memory for some actions), more format support with a bundled AdLib based plug-in & many more fixes.

The final big change is WACUP now tries to run in non-legacy (native) mode where possible. For the 2 cases where legacy mode is needed (with it using the original winamp exe for EQ & modern skin support) it'll prompt to switch to that mode (a temp solution until that's replaced).

As for a new preview build, it's not going to happen before the end of this year which'll feed some of the trolls but life has been getting in the way & rushing is just not going to help me implement albumart view support into the local library plug-in which is the final blocker.
