Work on effect modulation is slow but I'm getting there. Loads of bugs to iron out. The back end part of it is almost done. Meanwhile there is a massive number of little UI related things that need to come together for everything to feel right and not be annoying. Some of it will definitely change in the future as the scope of effects and blocks changes but I have an initial set of features I want to get working for the beta release.

Much of the relevant UI code is in dire need of a refactor now that the greater context of the system is more clear to me, and now that I have more experience with Godot. I'm going to try to leave this until after the inital beta release and then spend a bunch of time cleaning up loads of crap.

Once effect automation is done I will be moving on to track-level effects and that will be the last major feature I want to add before the beta. After that I have a list of small UI related things to do and a bunch of bug fixes. I may also do some kind of secret early alpha release for you three and some other friends.

One of the special strengths of Blockhead seems to be its ability to creatively manipulate and process sound, and the speedy workflow associated with that. Adding effect and track-level modulation will be a great and important complement to that, so I can see why it's being added before any user testing begins. If you do extend the alpha to patrons, that would be great!
