They never actually do anything with Gil after this episode, it's a bit odd, he knows Batgirl's true identity and is just kind of left in a coma. You're not wrong, it is kind of funny we've got Batman and Batgirl with these cool kind of intimidating names with dark outfits that let them blend into the shadows, and then there's Robin in his bright red and green spandex prancing around like a giant target for the villains, hmmm.... maybe he should go off and make his own team of brightly coloured heroes, one could also be named after a bird, and another an orange alien, and a green shapeshifter, and a half robot half man sort of person.... nah, it could never work.
