The "Revive system" was something the Zeref cultists took to heart back on The Tower of Heaven. So its conception was originally made by Zeref himself and you also saw he was the mind behind Eclipse that F. Rogue tried to use. And the plot bomb was dropped; Natsu and Zeref are brothers and Zeref is cursed by a deity for daring to interfere with the perceived laws of nature. This also means that Natsu is kindred to all of Zeref's demons like Deliora, Lullaby, Tartaros. etc. Zeref and Acnologia giving me Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns vibes with Zeref being all "I'm going to finish my story". XD I acknowledge our Dragon Chief Acnologia!
