Team Nimbus is stepping up its game - we're hiring!

We are looking for an environment sprite artist to join our team in a full-time capacity, with a 6 month probationary period to start, with potential to continue as an ongoing role based on our income at the time.

This is a full-time position working remotely and offering a rate of US$25 per hour capped at US$4500 per month.

These key responsibilities are required:

  • 37.5 hours of work time per week
  • Proficiency of the English language in written & verbal skills
  • Must use Discord
  • Work autonomously and remotely via internet
  • Professionalism and discipline while representing Team Nimbus to the general public
  • Maintaining regular lines of communication with an international team of managers, artists and programmers during work hours
  • Working with art lead in production of new textures, sprites and assets for the environment
  • Utilizing existing assets for “set dressing” and improvement of existing environment scenes.
  • (Optional)Streaming some of your work hours to the public via Piczel.tv or Discord

The most suitable candidate will fulfill most of the following selection criteria:

  • High-level drawing skills
  • Understanding of following programs to follow our asset production methodPaint Tool Sai 1 / 2
    Clip Studio Paint
    ColorTool
  • Experience working with producing 2D sprite art of mid to high resolution variety.
  • Experience rendering large isometric environments, starting from concept phase in either digital or pixel format and to the finalized polished phase in pixel art sprite form.
  • Strong understanding of form, color, texture, light and architecture/landscape/foliage rendering, and environmental storytelling.
  • Able to interpret and follow reference material to create clean, detailed, and accurate 2D sprite environments and sets

Acceptable portfolio sample must contain high resolution PNG images of at least one of the following:

  • Complex nature/fantasy/medieval town environment sprite art
    Character art
  • Artwork of various miscellaneous items and objects found in the environment such as shrubs, rocks, crates, ropes etc.
