Team Nimbus is stepping up its game - we're hiring!

We are looking for someone who is capable of assisting with 2D level building and asset integration in Unity to join our team in a full-time capacity, with a 6-month probationary period to start, with the potential to continue as an ongoing role based on our income at the time.

This is a full-time position working remotely and offering a rate of $17-$23 USD per hour capped between $2500-$3500 USD per month. The exact rate is negotiable based on the work experience of the applicant.

Job requirements:

  • 37.5 hours of work time per week.
  • Fluency of the English language in written & verbal skills
  • Maintaining regular communications with the team to work autonomously & remotely online.
  • Professionalism and discipline while representing Team Nimbus to the general public.
  • Maintaining regular lines of communication with an international team of leads, artists and programmers during work hours.

Core skills:

  • Experience in using Unity3D editor, especially with 2D sprite & canvas systems.
  • Working with Unity's asset pipeline to turn raw 2D digital art into optimized texture & material assets in-engine.
  • Integrating & assembling these assets into visually-complete 2D level environments in Unity editor.
  • Good Organizational & Communication Skills.

The most suitable candidate will fulfill most of the following selection criteria:

  • Good attention to detail in upholding our design style standards.
  • Rigorous in following procedure in upholding the game’s visual quality, and maximizing the maintainability of content built in Unity.
  • Someone who is comfortable communicating with other team members across multiple time-zones regularly for instruction, clarification, or refinement.

Although not required, the ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate these skills

  • Some technical understanding of the graphics rendering pipeline & performance implications of 2d graphics in a 3d game environment.
  • Some proficiency with image editing software, such as Photoshop, GIMP or similar.
  • Some understanding of maintaining a project with Git version control software or similar (Subversion, Perforce, Mercurial etc.).
  • Has used task management systems, such as Trello, Dropbox, and Google Drive.

I really hope you find the animator as well as this unity renderer because I want to see this game get completed!! I've already put in 100+ hours haha
