I vivdly remember my first years at St Martins in London in the early 70's, so much freedom, so much information, research, fabrics I had never seen and it was a time when you could actually meet really famous people in the street or at a party. I was at Ossie Clarks flat when he was with Celia Birtwell and had been painted by David Hockney and I sat on a fake sheep (probably Lalanne ) on the balcony chatting with a journalist from Harpers Bazaar like it was just a normal night! A few days later I was at a night club dancing with Peter Schlesinger who was really nice and quite shy, such times London in the 70's !

I hit the post button before I was finished with my comment. It was fun seeing Isabell join you in the picture taking with you modeling together. And then I thought wouldn’t it be a fun project to create a line for stylish mature women 60 and over. And as a bill could be the model along with Mmakhotso grandmother and maybe for other women and it could be a fundraiser fashion show. That particular age group and all of our sizes it’s so overlooked by really good fashion I just thought it would be a fun thing to do and maybe another way to fund the Institute Just a thought :-)

I hope everyone's hearts are as bursting with joy, yeah and a bit of pride too, as mine is! I am probably being silly, but this is so much bigger than us watching videos, or even Mmakhotso, herself. (And she is marvelous!) This is a tiny little ray of hope for South Africa, itself, which has so much to overcome. This whole scenario would have been impossible just a few years ago, during apartheid. Doing good matters!!

A wonderful young woman. You have to appreciate her firm resolve as well as her talent and intelligence. I’m a devotee of the Cadeaux series for the vicarious shopping, and giving gifts is one of my favorite things to do. Because most of us care about Laland as as we would a family. I do not live with my cousin, but I do enjoy an update now and then (caddeaux=cousin). That's how we can see a bigger picture of how our support and that of the caddeaux channel are doing good in this world. Hope this helps answer your question.

Wow! I cant believe how much our young scholarship recipient has matured in this first almost year since she got the award. She is much more poised and confident, and even more beautiful in this short time, and I'm sure the scholarship and her knowing we all have her back has helped with these achievements.
