One might think "but wait, when Nanase put Sarah in the cup, Nanase could have made the weight go over in the process!"

To which I point at panel two and note that THAT'S what the awkward pause is about. The scales gave everything a moment to settle before finalizing its analysis.

And now we have to wait until Friday for their reactions & closeups. :( Well it'll be a nice present for... what comes after Christmas and Boxing day? (Checks) "Feast of the Holy Innocents", a.k.a. Spanish & Latin American "April Fools'" day? Oh dear...

I'm choosing to hear that as the Metroid item get fanfare and I will not be budged.

Yeah, for me, an event like this is more https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9d3qCPcMgH4

Poor Sarah, now she has to go through the rest of the dungeon like that. I am also highly curious as to what a punishment might be for failing this puzzle. The nature of the puzzle leaves very little merit in trying again.

Jared Fattmann

The dungeon stole Nanase's shorts

Anonymous

Unfortunately for those who'd've liked them to, Sarah's clothes didn't disappear when she shrank. They're still in a pile on the floor as far as we know

Personally, if I wanted to make it clear that nothing was to go on the left side, I'd've made it slanted or domed so even if someone tried to put something on top of the left side it would just slide off.

Yes I know the one it's that damnable Korok diddy where they *poof* out and give you a suspiciously smelling 'korok seed'

James C

So, what happens when she runs out? Does the dungeon kick them out, or is that the requirement for it to direct them to the final chamber?

Matt R

She lost her shorts? Maybe that is a hint to what is coming next.

M.

I can't help but notice that while Nanase's clothing changed and she lost her hairbands, her height and figure haven't changed back to normal. Sarah's hair is still long too. I think I'm starting to see this dungeon's ways. :)

Needoriginalname

Kinda, hoped the pigtails stayed. But all well.

M.

...I have no idea how I missed that. :O

KiTA

Think you mean Nanase, DocDoc. Sarah's clothes were in a pile just inside the room last we saw them.

IvyReed

I presumed they disappeared with the rest of the poofiness going on. I could be wrong.

KiTA

Hm, you're right about the hair. Wonder if we're gonna see a bit of Sarah "Godiva-ing it up" or somesuch.

KiTA

Entirely possible, DocDoc, with the skirt vanishing who knows where we're at.

Joe Blue

granted...no tiny nanase, but it seems like she's slowly being striped. I wonder if this will give her some revelation of being careful who her employers are?

Foradain

I didn't even notice that the other "pan" was solid. Though I likely would've the first time I tried to put Nanase on it.

Kachopper9

No bimbo Sarah, and no more bimbo Nasase. Ah well, all good things.

Dan Merget

Can someone point me at the music implied in the third panel? I'm not enough of a videogamer to get the reference, and I while I found several compilations of RPG victory music online, none were from Tomb Raider or jumped out at me as being an obvious choice.

Taran1s

I believe that Final Fantasy VII might be the music getting referenced.

Anonymous

Based on the commentary, my interpretation was that it's not meant to reference any game's music in particular; the reader is left to imagine whichever tune they choose. Though I'd need to get someone more musically inclined to translate the notes presented, to see if they're familiar.
