Those look like 3 toes! I feel cheated

Just experienced this during a pre-op discussion on my hernia. Ugh.

Lol, no. I guess I didn't really pass out either, just cold sweat and a faster-than-normal transition to horizontal.

I woke up during my second hernia repair and got to watch for a few minutes until the surgeon noticed and asked me if I was enjoying my surgery, while making eyebrow-wiggles at the anesthesiologist behind me. I was put WAY under after that. But it was very cool while it lasted.

When I was a kid, I had to have an object extracted from my foot (let's just ignore what it was and how it got there) and they used their brand new fluoroscope. Every doctor in the hospital popped in and wanted to take a shot at it. Back then, blood made me faint but it was so freakin' cool seeing the instrument go in and root around that I watched the whole thing. Probably helped that it was all shades of grey instead of meat colors.

I love officer Roku, I am very glad Jeff brought her back in this short arc. I'm also glad that Hannelore is more friendly with her now. Roku is unappreciated but worthwhile.

I had a growth removed from my arm under local anasthesia. They injected the area, grabbed what looked like a hole punch, put it over the growth, whacked it, and removed it. I could see my muscles moving where the growth was removed until they stitched it up. I'd like to unsee that.

No offense Bob but I'm going to quickly forget your story so that I can actually go through with my own repair. Glad you had fun!

Outside toes for lateral support, center toe for extra force to drive forward. Dont trust me, pull off your 2nd and 4th toe and see how it goes... (post pics)

Is that the heel of her foot inn the last panel? Is it an inconsistency or is it the empty "skin"?

Kinda Squirrely

I love this arc so very much! And it looks like you're playing with facial details some. Very expressive, poor Hanners.

Jason Zions

Pseudo-skin "bootie" that covers the actual ankle-and-foot unit when it's socketed into the bottom end of the lower leg. That's why it's so skinny above the "heel"; the pseudo-skin is elastic and is empty just below that lower-leg attachment point.

Would've thought Police Officers would be trained to handle seeing stuff like this considering they are often first on scene. Of course, this could just be her first time actually try to handle it and it's made worse because it's her own foot.

I was awake for mine, but with the happy juice in my bloodstream, I might as well have been out. :)

I had twilight anesthesia for my foot surgeries. During the first one, I clearly remember the assistant threatening to restrain me if I didn't stop pushing the surgical curtain aside to watch. I don't remember anything from the second-- I assume they figured out they'd need to up the dose.

There's a subreddit for that: <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/Eyebleach/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.reddit.com/r/Eyebleach/</a>

Roko's lucky she doesn't have Melon's job.

A relative was put under but not enough and, after the surgery, complained. Nobody believed her, and she was laughed out of the room. So she came back, prepared. The hospital staff stopped giggling about it when she went through the surgery conversation about word for word. In front of the surgeon, the anesthesiologist, her lawyer, and the hospital's attorney.

It's one of the monthly comics. I tried to link, but since it's a restricted Patreon special it didn't work out. Just go back about 40 or 50 pages on Patreon. You won't find it on the free site. It's June's bonus comic.

They wanted me conscious for my eye surgery. With knives and things, no happy fun lasers (lasers to the eyes are, also, NOT happy fun). I did not want.
