UPDATE: Workflow Change (Patreon)

For a little while now I've had problems being motivated for some of my work.  Comics I'm always fine with working on, but when it comes to working on personal content I've been in a bit of a funk.  It may be due to the monotony of my daily worklife, things get repetitive when it's your career, and thus I feel I need to make a change.  

Despite not doing any in a while, animations are still something I have a lot of love for and want to get back into.  The time they take to do and the strain they put on my wrists always deterred me from starting anything big though.  I want to change that.

First off, nothing about comics is changing, those will continue as normal.

Here's what I do plan on changing: For the monthly character polls I will now be focusing on just the winner; they will become the months pinup/collage.  This frees up some time as well as gives me more of that last week of the month to focus on personal work and animating.  I'm not talking about my usual loop animations either, I want to make actual scenes with multiple shots and get someone to do sound editing as well.  I'm not sure how long these will take me, but I will be posting updates like WIP animated sketches as I go so there'll at least be a steady flow of content of that category.

I can't bring this up without addressing the elephant in the room, what about the Jenny (XJ9) animation?  So a while back I made a storyboard for a long My Life as a a Teenage Robot animation...too long.  As I started working on it it felt like such a daunting task and I realized I had taken on way more than I could chew.  This was an animation with dozens of shots and I need to start with projects that are much smaller with just a few shots.  So is the project dead?  No, I'd still like to get to it eventually, but I need to work on MUCH smaller projects to dip my feet in before I go diving into the freaking Mariana Trench.  I do have plans for a few different animations I want to start with, I'll be talking more about that once I have a good foundation started for the first one!

So yeah, more actual animations coming, I just don't want to give a timeframe until I know how this workflow schedule will go.  Thank you for all the support and help everyone!  I still enjoy doing my comics and I'm hoping you'll be able to enjoy these new projects I have coming for you as well!
