(More Important) Update #2 8/8 (Patreon)

Switching to Monthly Patreon?
So I’m thinking of just switching to a monthly Patreon like others do. I enjoyed the benefits that come with a “per creation” system like having control of when I charge patrons and whatnot. But it’s been a source of many stressful problems too. So here’s how this transition should go if it works out properly:
- According to Patreon, the charges for August (just the one on 8/2) will disappear from your accounts and will just be replaced by new monthly charges. Which will still be $5 or $10, the same amount that both tiers are paying now.
- Since everyone should be getting the same monthly charge, I can keep sending out links with all past content to everyone equally whether they’re old or new.
- The 5PM/10PM posting time will probably go away, though I’d like to keep posting everything at a fixed time on Fridays. But no more deadlines for links.
Why I Send Links
Now an important issue is the links. I send Dropbox links because other NSFW artists have warned me about having certain themes in my work and Patreon’s policy against it. So I try to be discreet and send out links via mass messages to avoid any issues.
An issue with this has been figuring how to properly send new links out to patrons who sign up after I sent it out already. If someone signs up for a month, I would want them to get access to content immediately. I’d love to easily get them the link too, but Patreon only lets you message an entire tier or one by one. So I was gonna have to constantly figure out who’s signed up since i sent the link, and message each of them one by one. I could do this but it’s pretty inefficient.
So I was thinking about just making a weekly post with the Dropbox link for each tier, so that anyone who’s new could just go there. And I’d just have to hope that Patreon doesn’t lash out about it.
Any ways that’s what it’s looking like folks. Sorry for being so disorganized and switching things up so suddenly. I hope I’ve at least communicated it well. And of course let me hear your feedback below!
