The price of power (Patreon)

Okay first thing first, I am STILL cooking on this, I just ended up going WAY more elaborate in terms of rendering with this than what I had initially planned so I am still at it but before I'm running out of time I wanted to drop you guys this, will be updating it later once I'm done with cooking to my own satisfaction 😌 I've been told by a bunch of people that I showed the WIPs  during this "what the fuck else do you want to do? This looks finished!" But no. Not yet.

As I said yesterday I have alot to say about this so brace yourselves! First of all I had an absolute blast with this, originally I wanted to keep this alot simpler but alas I am a clown and just had a great time rendering this and just experimenting with a bunch of things, traing out different saturation, contrast, lighting and color compositions , figuring out the overall design (Hegemon Edelgard is so complex but also such an aesthetically gorgeous design 🥺) so I just got super carried away 🙈💖

 Very originally I had something spicier in mind for her considering she is the voted character for February and I usually do spicier fanarts for that but after I was just considering doing her FEH Illustration form (which is as you know, more of a hybrid between the actual Hegemon and regular Edelgard) and getting alot of encouragement from y'all to just go with the full blown monster form, I just really really wanted to paint her and appreciate the design. YES the horny vibes are there but it's more aesthetically if that makes sense? Thanks to this I actually got to finish the holy trinity (not counting Grima since he has a special place) of FEH monster units as full render illustrations which I'm just. Really happy about considering I AM a huge monster enjoyer 😏

OKAY SO I REALLY HOPE YOU GUYS LIKE IT!! I've included the older previous version I posted yesterday in the attachment too so you can compare them and see just how much extra cooking I did on this! 🙌💕 Thank you guys SO much for voting for her and I hope it's okay that this is less spicy than what I usually do but I can always do something spicier with her in the future! 🙏 just this once I went with what I'd rather draw with a character and I hope that's okay. She's just so. Queen of starting the FEH powercreep.
