Added before posting... While editing I figured out that the soundboard clip is coming from the episode audio track... Meaning that while you were using it during the intro.. I was unable to mute the episode and still keep the soundboard clip in the edit ...I totally forgot to mention this in voice ...Soooo.. Yeah.. Here ya go 4. Ok I just thought of this.. And while I DO. somewhat share the opinion that it's a bit sudden for these Sodan Jaffa to now be a thing ....Keep in mind that this has been often a way of storytelling on Stargate ....For example ...Some General at the SGC wanted to see some technological advancements come out of the Stargate Program ....Teal'c overheard this and told the general that he had heard of a place where cloaking technology exists .....And thus we went off-world and we met The Nox ........Oh wait ...The Sodan have cloaking technology... Wow... I didn't even mean to make that comparison with my example ...BUT... In classic SG-1 fashion we SHOULD have had a scene at the start where we'd hear Teal'c tell a story of the Sodan legends and perhaps NOT. just have Mitchell mention having heard the conversation take place 5. They kinda fucked up with that shot there.. No pun intended... Mitchell shoots this Sodan Dude with his own staff weapon and you clearly see the impact on him ...NO. wound nor any scorch marks on his clothing... UNTIL the next shot when we see Sodan Dude on the ground... THEN. his wound is visible and his shirt has a scorch mark on it 6. You: "How are we all going in 2024?? Good??" .....Kinda meh really ....I've had a cold since around chrimmus that won't go away (but has probably gone by the time you get to read this) ...added now... Eh.. Still samey 7. You asked what Babylon 5 was about... I've personally never watched it ...I think my dad did ....Imdb says the following: In the mid 23rd century, the Earth Alliance space station Babylon 5, located in neutral territory, is a major focal point for political intrigue, racial tensions and various wars over the course of five years ....So yeah... There ya go 8. Why were the Sodan keeping Mitchell alive?? It could have been due to the same reason the SGC was keeping the Sodan Dude alive ...Whether that be common decency to aid an injured person even if he's the enemy... Getting information out of him ...Or just so they'd have someone to trade for THEIR guy later on ...Or... All of the above ....A dead prisoner is useless ....But ultimately it's a good thing they kept him alive ...Now perhaps we've got another ally in our fight against The Ori 9. Sooooo... The Sodan have been around for 5000 years at the very least... And yet THIS. is the first time we hear of them?? ....Teal'c didn't bother to mention until NOW. that there was a group of Jaffa that supposedly lived free from the Goa'uld??? Seems a bit of an oversight ...We could've used their help ..Not to mention their cloaking technology 10. Little fact about Ben Browder (Mitchell) ...Apparently a lot of the stunts during this episode were NOT. done by a stunt double ....The guy seemingly likes doing his own stunts ...So Mitchell rolling around getting "hit" by the invisible Sodan guy and doing certain fight stunts ...All him ......I mean can't blame him ...Looks like fun 11. I don't think different sides of the brain has much to do with it Froots ....Fighting AND. talking at the same time is just not a good combination ....During a fight you need all the focus you can get... You need to be present both mentally and physically ....To be talking WHILE. fighting it takes that focus away .....That's why villains in movies and shows often get taken out cause they're too busy monologueing or run out of breath leaving them open to attack 12. Soooooo... Daniel and Teal'c bring in this Free Jaffa dude to convince the Sodan Dude that The Ori are bad ....I can't help but wonder ....Could they not just have put some symbol on some random soldier's forehead with a sharpie and PRETENDED. that this guy was a survivor of one of the worlds that The Ori had visited?? ......Like... Where's the ACTUAL. proof that this Free Jaffa dude is who whe claims to be?? IF. I were the Sodan Dude.. I'd need BETTER. evidence too 13. Free Jaffa dude: "Heed my words brother.. If a Prior visits your world ...Leave" ......Good warning ...But yeah ..Ehmm... That's gonna be difficult.. Since you JUST. mentioned the Prior came to your world and put his hands on the stargate ....Good fucking luck trynna get off-world if the gate has been dialed by a Prior .....Also... How the fuck did this guy even survive??? The Ori require you to "follow the path of Origin or be laid to dust" ....Why isn't this dude a pile of ashes??? Further proof The Ori aren't all-knowing cause they let this dude wander off 14. I feel like this Sodan dude can't challenge Mitchell to a fight to the death ....HE'S literally the guy that trained Mitchell ....I dunno... Seems a bit unfair ...What IF. the guy didn't train Mitchell well enough ON PURPOSE ....But even so... What if he DID?? Dude knows all the fighting techniques ...He's much more experienced in defending himself against his own techniques than Mitchell could ever be under his teachings 15. You about Mitchell: "Why was he running a marathon thing.. If this is just a 1v1?" ....Most likely to regain strength and build up stamina for the fight after Mitchell had been injured earlier on in the episode ....Aside from that ...Stretching time in the episode 16. Ok I'm fairly certain that placing your hand on some chest armor is NOT. gonna have you be able to accurately tell if someone is dead or not ...But sure... We're running out of runtime... Mitchell is dead ...Let's move onto the reveal of him NOT. being dead 17. Yeah Daniel... Don't be a fool... Cheese Master Sergeant Walter Harriman takes his job VERY. serious ....He'd never joke about incoming wormhole IDC's ...He's a professional! 18. DO. we have some new allies now?? I mean.. Seems like we didn't really find out if the Sodan are gonna decline the Prior's offer ....And anyone who DOES. decline the offer gets their planet wiped out as far as we're aware of
